Saddest scene - The end. To see them while they were still friends, and not-quite superstars, is to see talent and a love of performing. Because of the previous 3 hours you can't help but recall the deaths, spats, addictions, and all the negatives while at the same time watching them at their best. That scene definitely pulls the old heartstrings.

Just horrible ... these little kids sitting there, completely exposed to fate. Remembering the scene still gives me gooseflesh.

Thanks Anna! The mini-series had me so into the Temps I had to back off for a while. I just found this board and have been busy in one of the other rooms downloading video performances. Did I mention that my 5-year old is a HUGE Temptations fan? He does have trouble grasping the fact that the guys in the mini-series aren't the real thing though... lol

The end is the saddest because it makes me realize that we don't know when everything is perfect. Somehow people get caught up in ego trips, selfishness, greed, whatever and lose out on what we had that was good.
And then I realize that we have to go on, accept the things we cannot change, and appreciate what we do have. The fact that things changed does not mean we should grieve forever or that we should not go forward. Because what the Temptations created should be continued.

OMG who ever wrote the comment on why didn't they help david like they did Paul, the whole rehab thing, thank god cause I soo agree!! I love Paul & all 7 no hate towards Otis but why the hell did no one stand by David & get him help?! Eddie stood up for him(much appreciated) but didn't go out on the limb like he did for Paul. You know if I had been in that group(probably not a possibilty since I'm a 17 year old whit female) I'd have been like David leaves I leave!!

Oh ya, I was suppose to put what I think was the saddest scence. Um I don't neccisarily find it the saddest but I would love to know why the hell it isn't on here!! Am I the only one who finds the scence were Davids body is being dumped outta a car like trash depressing/sad??!! I hope not!! And then all Otis can say is "It took a week for his body to be identified....all I know is it was a trgic loss". Dude, love Otis & all(seriously, much respect for him) but that line really angers me!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I agree that it was very upsetting to see David being depicted like that! At first I thought that he either gotten beaten or shot to death for owing some money to drug dealers or something like that. That is- until I learned the truth!

For me, the saddest scene was the last one, when they did My Girl just the way it used to be done steps and all....I wasn't expecting that and it got to me big time.

The end gets to me to Aba, there couldn't have been a more perfect ending in my opinion =) Another scene that gets to me is were they fire David....he gives this litlle smirk if you will when their looking at him through the window, but when he turns away you can see how hurt he is....that the "one thing good" in his life is gone. Tear jerker right there. I also cry during Papa was a Rolling stone(for Paul) & during Just My Imagination(for Eddie), Melvins funeral makes me ball....especially those falshbacks!! Davids body being dumped from the car, the ending, Otis with his mom, when he finds out she has cancer. Hell I cry during every sad part you can think of =( I really wanna watch it now....*puts The Temptations into DVD player*

As much as I looove this movie, It takes strength for me to watch the second half cause, everthing went downhill after that.... I choke up on about every sad scene too.... OMG, Eddie looked sooo sad when he sung JMI for the last time with the "group"... So did Paul when he was about to shoot himself... So did Ruff, when he turned away from the group... And as for Otis, that look he gave David while he was looking out of the window was like he didn't know what "Remorse" means....
