From what I understand that was Leon singing, and the person who sounded like they were lip-synching to Louis Price's voice is the guy who played Dennis, check out the scene where they do I cant get next to you, now that sounds like Louis Price, when Leon sings the voice sounds just like his own, because Leon can sing.

They should have let the Dramatics sing the songs ! That is a classic! It should be in the "Greatest All Time Quotes" section!

since the dramatics say that they were heavily influenced by the temptations and they are a group of great singers, i would have no problem with them singing the tempts tunes.
when the beegees started out everyone said they sounded like the beatles. when robert stigwood their producer made sgt. pepper the movie he naturally selected the beegees to star and sing in it. it ended up sgt. pepper was a MAJOR disaster, CORPORAL punishment, a GENERAL failure, should"ve been a PRIVATE affair!

Kiki, I'm guessing they had someone else do the singing for Leon because the sound that comes out of Leon when he sings sounds nothing like David Ruffin. But then again, neither does Louis Price. IRLM or dancer ;D There is an Otis joke in there Mike and you let it go..

Mike, my favorite lineup is the current one... L.J.(my favorite group member), Lenny, Ron, Willie. and Winzell. My second favorite lineup is the "Classics": The first four members, but with "Squirrel" instead of Winzell. Then my third favorite is the Reunion. All other lineups are good, but the Dramatics without L.J. are just another group IN SEARCH of an L.J.
(I do love the whole group, but before L.J. came to the group, it was as if something was not right.)

So Leon was the only actor who didn't sing in the miniseries.
What about D.B.? Did he sing in the miniseries whenever the actors were singing?

No way was that CM Whitfield singing! ............... I think they did a good job picking an actor who, um, wasn't exactly the best singer in the world. Incidentally, CM Whitfield's voice was dubbed in by Jimmy Ruffin too. irlm...Or dancer Ok here is the joke...Iv and IRLM say CM Whitfield wasn't bad in that scene considering he wasn't that good of a singer or dancer. One could say the same about OTIS(not the best singing and dancing)...ok, ok I didn't say it was hilarious..but a small joke I spotted..sheesh tough crowd ;D
