Isn't technology grand? Grammy Award Winning Motown Legend Richard Street formerly of The Temptations( "Papa Was A Rolling Stone"), will be the special guest on The Rhythm & Blues Showcase radio show on Monday Night April 26, 2004 10:00 PM. South Jersey radio veteran and host Tim Marshall will be joined by Co-host Larry Cotton, Director of the South Jersey Chapter of the Motown Alumni Association for this exclusive interview.
Richard Street officially became a member of The Temptations in 1971 and performed with the legendary RnB Supergroup until the mid nineties. His signature leads include the angelic "Heavenly", the soulful "Firefly" and the seasonal favorite "Everything For Christmas". He even has a favorite aunty. I love it! I've never heard "The First Time Ever I saw Your Face" by him. Gosh. I am so backward! He's got velvet in his voice. But I don't even try to find that CD. Guess what the CD with "Lonely Hearts Club" costs nowadays? 65 dollars ...

Richard was one of my favorite Temptations!!! They are playing "Show Me Your Love " from "Surface Trills" . He was an Important member during his tenure. His leads as well as his blending of his voice in the background has kept the Temptation legend alive. His lead as a Monitor on "Say You " rivals David's. on " Gettin' Ready" Class act To the End!! From one that has seen the Temptations from the beginning....Richard is Man!!
