Tempfan! Thank you so much for that tip! I appreciate it. I love that song by Richard. He seems to have the right feeling ....

Of concern is toward the end of part 4, where Richard says 'If I could ever get my health straightened out...since 2000 every time I turn around it seems like I'm in the hospital' ...this is not good to hear .

Why are they asking Richard about Mellow Mood? And he's expounding on and on, like he was on it...did I miss a step?

Well ............. either the guy who asked him was dumb enough to think that Richard's actually ON the album ............ or he's SMART enough to know how involved Richard was with the group all the time.
Since the dude is the president of the Jersey chapter of the Motown Alumni Assoc., I suspect it's the latter.

Yeah ............. I thought the same thing ............... I'm gonna ASSUME Richard knows more about it than I do but my EOS "bible" says it was '93 and O's book says it was 1993 (p. 228.) It might have been one of those late '93 early '94 kinda things. Anyone remember for sure? Either way it was BEFORE 1995 when Melvin died.

That's one reason I'm HOPING Richard's book comes out sometime before *I* die ............ :sleepy: ......... so we can see what he has to say about THAT.

Yah...that bio posted says 1995, Richard verbalized 1994... which again could be one of those "late 94-VERY early 95" things (since Melvin passed in Feb.) but we know theo was there for the cutting of FLO which I don't have recording dates on but we know was released in '95...and recorded at least in part before Melvin passed since he's on it.
<<<<sigh>>>> Richard sure gave us a lot of teasers for the book on this interview...I hope it comes out before ANY of us dies, including Richard... who also was commenting about his health problems (later on it sounded like maybe his hip operation/?replacement? was one of the hospitalizations so that isn't so bad as that pulmonary embolism he had in 2001.)

and I personally would LOVE to see his group perform... that tall guy he was talking about sounds like he'll be fun to listen to, and I fell in love with Terrance's singing and style when he was with Damon in Montreux .

Since the dude is the president of the Jersey chapter of the Motown Alumni Assoc., I suspect it's the latter. This is not about the Monitors. That's the group Richard was involved with at the time. The man don't know what he's talking about. DUMB all the way around.
