Well, Peach you have asked for censorship in the form of asking Mike to "pull the plug on this ..."
This is your post:
"Clinton did have a heart for the disadvantaged.... not like Kerry, who had no idea what it was like to grow up like that. Clinton had a rough childhood....I *believed* that about him. Kerry? No way.......
Which leads me to say....I stopped hanging out at the OTHER Temps board because of threads like this. I thought we were successfully avoiding the political crap, but then I stop by and BOOM....someone posts a faked photo of Bush flipping the bird. It's not about censorship, it's about wanting to come to a place where we can GET AWAY from this stuff...and NOT be a minority, which I am. I think our fearless leader should put some brakes on this, because I'm about ready to pull the plug on posting here as well............ it's just not worth it. And yes I can ignore stuff, but when my dander is up....you people know how it is."

"they AVOID topics like that.....which isn't censorship....." I agree. But asking for someone to stop others' from speaking their mind is censorship. You and those who gang up on you are free to avoid the topic and stay away from such threads. But don't have others' shut out bey asking the "leader" of a board to pull the plug on them --

But don't have others' shut out bey asking the "leader" of a board to pull the plug on them -- Spin it however you want.......most liberals do see it that way. Mike is the leader of the board, and he has asked that we avoid talking religion and politics. That is fair...it's A TEMPTATIONS BOARD. Mature and tactful people know that there are certain topics to avoid if they want to keep peace and harmony in a place. That thread shouldn't have even been started in the first place...per what keeps peace and harmony in a board. Again, I wasn't trying to censor anyone........... it never should have started in the first place. People just like to stir up shit, don't they? Peach

There is no leader on this board. There are individuals who voice their opinion on various subjects. No one opinion is any more valuable than another person's.
The only guidelines I know about are courtesy and kindness to other posters, and these should be evident in all postings.
There is an administrator of this board, and that is Ivory. And she sets whatever guidelines she wishes.
AS to politics, as I waited in line to vote I heard several people talking and the gist of their comments was "The U.S. is a plural nation. We all have different opinions before the election, but after the election we will all work together. And that's America."
Frankly, I think these voters had a better picture of America than all the news commentators.

Actually meant administrator..... and, apparently, there are some guidelines on this other board. (At least that was what was said to me.) I'm pretty sure there is not a "no politics" guideline here. I guess my only alternative is to just avoid this thread or this board entirely..... Peach
