Let's put the movie to the test....like for instance... in the movie, Melvin died at Mama Rose's house but in reality he didn't.

Otis claimed he was still trying to worki it out with his ex wife in the movie, yet in the book he wasn't.
Dennis didn't sing richard's solo on papa.
Al didn't sing come on, richard did.
The Primettes didn't sing with the Primes.

Dennis didn't sing with Eddie and David til the late 80s.
Glenn wasn't in the group when the Tempts got the HOF induction, as the film had shown.

On the studio version of "Ain't To Proud To Beg", Dennis can NOT be heard screaming "That Mother F*****" in the background. Ok, I just HAD to say that. ;D

I think they all needed each other, but if the Temptations never existed, I think Melvin would have done well, and Otis... I dunno, depends on what group he was in.
