Puzzled by Tempts4Ever remark that GC Cameron sang off-key at the show he watched in San Antonio "tonight" or Oct. 15th.
The Temptations were not at the Majestic on October 15th, but on June 29th. I was there, and GC was not off-key. I was in the front row.
October 15th they were in San Antonio but at a private show at the Omni.

Word has it that they are going to hire O.J. Simpson to get his people to find Terry's voice while they're looking for the real killer. They say it's been missing for qoite some time.

Leave OJ alone!!! Yeah, some say off-key, but some say that the concert they attended with GC was the best they'd heard since Ali left the group. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out for ourselves.

When I saw them in Greensboro last Friday, GC was FANTASTIC! Didn't hear anything off-key from him.

Off-key is such a vague evaluation.... was he flat? Was he sharp? Did he miss a few high notes? Because we *know* he has an ear for singing.... so what's the low down? Sometimes nerves can make a person sing "sharp." And, if that's what we're talking about, I don't fault him for that. Just my 2 cents. But like I said, I didn't hear *any* of that in Denver.

tdallas,
So glad you went to concert in Greensboro.
When I first saw the Tempts would perform in Greensboro, I was sure you would be there. But I guess I missed the post where you said you would be there. I kept waiting for a concert review from you.
Glad you enjoyed it. I must admit I'll miss Harry (so cute), but then I'm not there and do not know the situation. I trust the Temptation organization to keep things shipshape. To be rathed the World's Best Male Vocal Group and be a success for 40+ years means you're doing thing right. Running an organization is hard work and a thankless job. It means making tough decisions and listening to the people who aren't doing anything gripe about whatever you do.

Jane - I didn't post a review. I must say, even without Harry, they put on a great show. The crowd was terrible though... not well attended. They had to compete with the 76ers/Wizards B'Ball game at the Greensboro Coliseum (same complex they were in) I sat next to Otis' 3 yr old godson and Ron's girlfriend on the 5th row, so the seats were great. We had a blast together! I was VERY impressed with G.C. He sang his BUTT off... and Terry's voice was much better than I've heard him lately. Still hoarse, but not as bad as before. He is singing fewer leads, so his voice isn't being strained as much. They sang the usual... including the Memories medley. Thank goodness they sing My Girl themselves now without the audience participation. Ron's cousin, Larry (also here in Charlotte) has posted some pretty good pics from the concert on Ron's website.
