I just thought of something I think is overrated, but I'm going to have to explain myself so you don't throw tomatoes at me. Sex/lust is overrated. What I mean is... I have had so many girlfriends tell me about *this new guy* or *that new guy* being "the best they've ever had." That is, MARK MY WORDS, until the *next* new guy comes along. Why? Because LUST makes *every* thing feel good.... until that dies and you have the reality of the *real* person. Then you have to go out and find that feeling again...that fantasy. Friendship. It's the only thing that lasts. Peach

Don't worry Peach, no one will throw tomatoes at you, because you are right. Friendship is a lifetime and lust isn't. What I think is overrated are the these so called stars of today. After a few years down the road, you wonder what the hype was all about?

I was reading people's opinions on a "Diva and Diva Duets" show this week. The only people they thought could sing were Chakka Khan and Stevie Wonder. They really lambasted a duet by Whitney and Bobby, saying drugs had destroyed both their voices. Mary ? couldn't sing on pitch, had to use pitch adjusters on her records, Ashanti's only excuse for being there was that gangsters sponsored her, Queen Latifah couldn't sing but she looked good, and Beyonce couldn't sing either but the male posters all liked her in spite of that. And so it went.

The Motown Christmas show of 2002 is overrated. Most of those people shouldn't have been in that show. They needed some REAL Motown, not the adult contemporary and weak, watered down "modern R&B" they threw at us.

Other than the Tempts and Stevie, the rest of the show was "fake-@$$" Motown.
What's wrong with the board today? I can't see hardly any graphics...all I see are red x's.

Overrated? I think I will get stoned for this . . . Stevie Wonder's Voice.

Selfish, man! That's bold! And I completely agree with you. I've never been a great big fan of Stevie's (ducking first to avoid being lambasted, and then saying to herself "Man is this freaky, I'm actually agreeing with you!")

Oh yeah my overrated list:
THE BEATLES - I mean, I think they are absolutely dreadful, CHER, R. KELLY, MARY J. BLIGE, RENEE ZELLWEGER.

I think once Stevie got engrossed with his toys and trying to say something significant in everything he did, his singing suffered.

Overrated? I think I will get stoned for this . . . Stevie Wonder's Voice. Right ON! I have thought that for so long and have been afraid to say it!!! He's like *the man* to a lot of people, and I just kept it to myself. Now, I must say I like "Sir Duke" and "Sunshine of My Life," but that is it. Whenever he is on that Temps/4 Tops video, I fast forward it. He is *not* funny and his singing just annoys me on that video. I'm not saying he's not a talented guy, because he is! But he should have written for someone else...like me! ;D Peach
