being forgiving is overrated. why be forgiving when you can be upset, swollen, bitter and mean for the rest of your life?

Every once in a while - like maybe once a year I might drink a beer at a picnic or something. I don't drink much alcohol period. I could never understand why anyone in his right mind would drink a non-alcoholic beer. Why subject yourself to that taste in non-alcohol form - it's bad enough as it is.

THAT will remain a mystery for the ages, tdallas!
now, a hot humid nite, a bowl of spicy gumbo and some oysters (w/lemon & hot sauce) washed down with a glass of ice cold Dixie beer at the Acme Oyster House can be just this side of heaven...but only once in a while (once in a very long while since I live nowhere near New Orleans LOL!)
On the other hand, I do occasionally buy a can a beer to use as a steak marinade prior to BBQ'ing. It gives it a nice flavor. The unused beer goes down the drain at our house.

Yeah, I agree, you have to drink it with certain foods. I whipped myself up a big plate of enchillada style burritos last night and was wishing I had a beer to go with it.

Sukka, MIMI-ME! HAHA! Thanks. Self, who in their right mind would want to be mean and bitter for the rest of their life? Being forgiving feels so much better! temptsinfo.com/smilies/wtg.gif

your one kidney filters just fine- what a blessing, peach!
make sure you filter what you and anna have thrown at you everyday by the cold cruel world of constant drone of tv,radio, movies, and music- crowd them out and you'll be hearing Divine things in your heads!

I never acquired a taste for beer. I have used it for cooking purposes but thats about it. It makes a wonderful marinade for ham and grilled chickens.

Beer makes a good marinade for steak and batter for fish and seafood. I also tried a beer biscuits recipe and it was pretty good.
