The Temptations story is one of both triumph and tragedy. These were and are real human beings and like all of us, they had good times and bad times. ;D & ...raindrops will hide my teardrops... Each and every one of them.

I am so many years after this thread was started, I read the article. Two things I would like to point out:
1. Paul's illness was sickle cell. This made it painful for him to fly. The alcohol began to ease the pain. It spiraled, but he'd done the work to beat the addiction.
2. So sickle cell is the other reason he left the road.
I didn't like that this was left out of the movie. But dramatic license being what it is, I get it. I was a pre-teen when he died. I remember Soul magazine, Jet and Ebony covered the story. Gone too soon is all I can say. Paul Williams, my favorite Temptation.
