Ron and GC. I think that this line-up got a raw deal when they were given the songs to "Legacy". I also think that the current group is good, but they are not given the chance to stand up on their own, sing the songs that THEY recorded..and not depend on the "Hall Of Fame" hits. The current members need to be able to show their talents and make a name for themselves. I mean,Theo is a great singer, but he ain't going nowhere singing Levi Stubbs' songs. Levi Stubbs cannot be replaced,Theo will not make a dent in Levi's spot. To me,he's wasting time with the Tops. They won't be making anything new with Theo singing lead, unless you think Otis will sign them to HIS label? That won't happen. Hey brother Mike! In regards to Theo, I have to agree with you on that. There is no doubt in my mind he can go places if he ventured into a solo career. I can hear his music played on the "smooth-jazz" stations like CD-101.9 here in NYC. That would be the direction I'd like to see him go; adult contemporary.

Judging by some video-clips of Tempts recent years performances what I`ve seen, I`ll have to agree with Mike here...Tempts aren`t even nowhere near the past times. Its only their name that is keeping them alive nowadays, if they`d change it to something else, things would get much worse for them... At least that`s what my humble opinion is.

Come on ya'll ! You have to remember that there is a 60 something year old man stepping up there on stage and G.C.'s getting up in age too, of course their steps would be no where near the way they were back in the day. Hell if Eddie, David, Paul and Melvin were still alive and performing as the Temptations how do you think they would be dancing ? Their choreography has to take into account the age factor of the oldest members in the group and their abilities and still show some of the classic routines.

Those other guys never quite had it like the hof6.

They should make a video. The last time I saw them was 7-01-04 at the DET Energy Music Theatre in the Detroit area. They billed themselves as Motown Revue Feat: Dennis Edwards. They had two cameras on them. So maybe they will make a video one day. I think they should, because they really put on a good show. They are the closest to the C5 and HOF6 that I have ever seen!! Plus I didn't hear any of the fans complaining, like I did when I saw Otis's group when they were here at Chane Park. The highlight of the evening was when they introduced Mama Rose!!

I agree, that Dennis`s Review group ain`t bad at all actually! Though they`re not exactly the real Tempts, they seem to stay more true to the "good old days", than the current Otis group does.. The real Tempts aren`t that bad also, let them make new music and change with times.

Neither am I! ;D Hell Otis wasn't doing all that in 1969, why you trying to hold him to some kind of standard now? ;D ;D

It was asked what do I think that Eddie,Paul,David& Melvin would move if they were still alive and performing? I said like another 60+ year old man...Dennis Edwards. Please tell me what does 1969 have to do with what I said? I ain't crazy, not by a longshot! I'm just telling the truth. Besides in 1969,Dennis,nor Otis was 60+ years old ,were they?
