Here's a question for you all: How did u get to know that Paul was the Soul of Tempations, The True Temptation, the one who created the legendary dancing style for Temptations etc.. ? My answer: From Otis' book. And still I don't cry that Otis shouldn't have written those things. Like I don't cry that he shouldn't have written about Pauls problems. If Otis wouldn't be allowed to tell negative things about Paul, why should he be allowed to tell positive things? How I found out was by discovering the group before Otis even thought about writing a book,or making a movie. I don't cry, either. Hell,I didn't write those things. I know better. Question,if so many positive things were said about Paul in Otis' book....why didn't he tell you about Paul's scholarships,or the fact that Paul was planning on making a comeback? Too many positive things for one book?

I knew Paul was the soul of the Temptations long before the book came out! If Otis was going to tell negative things about Paul, why didn't he also tell negative things about himself? I thought that I was the only one who noticed that!

Otis did tell on himself. He told of his womanizing while he was married and his use of cocaine......once, while he was onstage even. I'm sure he could have told more but he told on himself. I think drug use is much more frowned upon than alcohol.........even to this day, don't you think? And unless there's something someone knows that they can put up here.............maybe there just wasn't that much to tell............. ;D SHO'YOU RIGHT!!! ;D

That is true. He mentioned a few things about himself, and let it go. He talked about Paul's problem, over and over again. It's Pauls right to tell his own problems! You think? Tell 'em again!

Do you think anyone is listening Yeah, but they hope that you don't think so and will soon stop! Just think like Blue Magic....only stop,so you can start all over again! It works for me! Like Hey Jude I get under their skin...then I can begin...to make it better!

Hey y'all. Here is the story. Paul drank a little alcohol. He was the ideal father. forget what you read in articles. I a willing to forget that I heard rumors when i was 12 years old here in chicago. He was the perfect husband. Richard stood in the wings and lip synced for Paul. Paul knew he was too sick to be doing a lot of drinking so he didn't. Paul? no problem.
David was a choir boy. He never did anything but smoke a little herb. Everywhere he went people told lies on him about his ego. He was as quiet as a church mouse. Somebody saw him comming out of a drug rehab house and accused him of being addmitted. He wanted to be like Otis and just sing background and wanted the group to be called The Group. Any other stories that you have read are lies
Eddie was Pauls best friend and if it was not for him paul would have been dead when he was about 18. Eddie could control Paul so no one had to worry about Paul. Eddie had things under control.
Melvin? Everybody hated him. He couldn't get a woman if he tried.
Otis? Snake. Control master. he ruined everbody's life. If it was not for him, they would have been stars back when they were the primes. Otis has been rich all along. Back in those days when they were being cheated Otis had millions. He only rode the buses to make it look like he was struggling. He has never had a kind word for any former Tempts. He was an alcoholic and is very sick right now from not taking care of himself. He is so stupid that he knows less than people who was no where around when the group started or started to go bad. I hope that make somebody feel better. let's put on " Just my imagination" and chill

If the folks on this board would take a minute to reflect on the"revolving" door of the Temptations, you may come up with the same conclusion I did as I read this entire thread:
If The Temptations would have ceased after the CLASSIC 5, they would have ended their careers just like the Beatles. We would be speaking of the Temptations in the past tense like many Beatle fans. Can you imagine today's (year 2004) Beatle fans' frustration in not ever attending a concert. As a Beatle fan, it sure frustrates me not ever seeing the FAB FOUR perform live, ever again.
Business is business when it comes to the music business. I am quite sure Otis did not make the LONE decision to have anyone replaced. If contracts were involved, there had to be lawyers as well to finalize the decisions made.
It also appears each members strength (with a few exceptions) rely in a group environment, unlike the solo careers of each Beatle.
If the that "revolving" door had not existed, there would be no Dennis, Damon, Richard, Glenn, Bo, Theo and all others in between. Let us appreciate what we have, as fans of the Temptations, while they are still with us, even the factions out there performing.
As my pastor says, "don't wait until your momma is laying in that casket to show her some love, give momma some loving now while she is still in the land of the living".

I do not find them sexy at all! You need to see the others who left,do a show. I knew that from your post.
