Luck ain't got crap to do with it. They do sing Dennis' songs, and try to sing it like he does..why you think Terry's voice gave out? What's crazy about that? As far as the wardrobe and steps go,you giving Otis credit for that,or did he get them from someone else? You can't come at me with cliff notes, trying to spew some self-proclaimed "LOGIC" at me.No can do! Ain't nothing crazy about the truth! You IGNORE,so how can you say anything about explaination...you have to be mature enough to receive the "explaination"! Check yourself! I AM mature, you check yourself, and check your spelling from time to time too....I apologize...I don't have to check you. Your'e so weak on this subject, You are self-checked as in basketball....You ain't got no game. :nono

Not as weak as you,and you are right I ain't got no game...you're so full of it that why you need GAME.You could never check me,again this ain't about me,but if you want to get personal......you have said nothing...just mindless jibber. You think you are mature.......you have a bad way of showing it.I've said logic all along your just too thick to grasp. Now stick to the subject matter...I'm not the subject matter.

Mike, Mike, Mike, tst, tst, tssstt. I know that Harrah's didn't host the Academy Awards, you clown. If you listen carefully to Melvin's intoduction to the song on the Harrah's video, he explains that they were asked by the Academy Awards, to perform "Eye of the Tiger" and that they were going to sing that version at the Harrah's show...Also, do you really think that "Stay" caught on is because of three notes repeated three times? ???I guess over two million people who bought that record knew of the "My Girl" sample. Mike, most of the time, you have valid points.....But on this thread you have serious flaws even the most qualified analyst would have definite trouble trying to undestand your logic.....This is the bare fact!!! The Temptations have withstood the test of time without a Dennis Edwards in their line-up. By that same token, he is not, and I place utmost emphasis on this, NOT THE REASON, or the VECHICLE that propelled both the Temptations and Motown their first grammy. Other Motown artists and the Temptations were long overdue for a grammy prior to the Temptations releasing "Cloud Nine" You know it, the whole board knows it, HELL, even the whole world knows it. YOU make it out that Dennis alone controlled the Temptations destiny as far as recognition and fame are concerned. The Temptations were making it before and after Dennis. I really love Dennis's contributions to the Tempts, you make it out like everybody's trying to belittle and underrate Dennis. Not the case at all. The main thing is that is being pointed out, especially to you is that the Temptations didn't achieve solely based on Dennis's contributions. It was a collective GROUP effort. It is apparent to me that Dennis can't survive professionally without using the Temptations as a crutch. Plain and simple. If he had the almost supernatural powers you seem to suggest he has, why does he cling to the Temptations moniker and repitoire? ???Why couldn't he do the same for his solo career or even the Contours or The Crowns of Joy? What if someone else took your screen name and started posting all over cyber-space? How would that make you feel? How would you react? What if you were a victim of identity theft? You get the point.....I would love to see Dennis back in the Temptations. He is a fantastic singer....one of the Temptations best. It's not up to me, you, the board, fans, that can do anything to change that. Whether you like it or not, Otis contols the Temptations. I, like you don't agree with the decisions he has made regarding the group, but it's HIS group. I don't like like the idea of all the spin-off fake groups. That applys to fake Supremes, Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, Drifters, etc. There should only be one sanctioned group. This cuts down on a lot of confusion, regarding who's legitimate. You know what I mean. Find something else, that's legitimate to make a federal case out of. OK,I can't take you serious. Bozo I'm not,I was at the show and heard melvin say that. To answer the STay question, yes I do think that the My Girl sample got it over, you don't? The Temptations were long overdue for a Grammy is your opinion, but the FACT is they didn't win one until Dennis joined the group, are you gonna dispute that FACT? Dennis was not responsible, but it seems that the two arrived around the same time,no opinion...Fact!I agree that he not the reason ,or the vehicle that propelled both the Temptations and Motown to their first Grammy, just one fifth...his lead vocals just set the tone for the award, that's all. You act like it's not. What need to be pointed out to you is that Dennis was part of the collection and they didn't have the same success without Dennis as they did with him,you gonna argue that? He "clings " to the Temptations monkier for the same reason Otis does...he a Temptation...a Temptation forever, and a HALL OF FAME TEMPTATION at that.I guess he couldn't do it with the Contours for the same reason otis couldn't do it without him.Don't you think it's identity theft when otis comes to town and all you hear in the promotions is Dennis' voice? Why not Bo's,Woodson's,Theo's voice? Oh, that would be the same thing...identity theft...I see what you mean! Do YOU get the point? You don't think that I have a legitimate point? Blind, man BLIND! You see how easy it is to answer your questions? Now answer mine.....You say they bent the rules for dennis to get into the Hall Of Fame, why did they do that? Why him? Did Otis suggest it,since he controls the group? How did Dennis Edwards get to be inducted to the Hall of fame? Answer ,please? Unless you are afraid to? ;D....I won't tell the FEDS .

Case in point, I not once heard Justin Timberlake referred to as "former lead singer of N'Sync" on the Grammy's the other night .............. HE is an example of being FAMOUS as a lead singer and having an ENTIRE group rest on his vocal skills.

I agree except for one...Beyonce can sing..she is talented. I didn't realize it until I saw her in "Fighting Temptations" You can't put her with the likes ofJustin,50 cents,Brittney and Christina Augilera. She's not just another pretty face!

Somewhere I missed the post about the statues being of Alabama natives. If in fact that was the case I don't have a problem. I am not so anal that i would sit here and say that was the way they found not to have to put Otis up there. I know David was born 6 inches from Alabama but yet and still he wasn't from Alabama. But if you ask me, I can see the direction they wanted you to think they went in.

Yes....and i'm sure alot of people would agree! I can think of roughly 5 million who don't agree that Beyonce ain't cool. I can think of 3 or so million who don't think Justin ain't cool. As for 50, he ain't my cup of tea but, again, millions feel differently. Ed
