Ivory ;D you are too funny! I thought you would get a kick out of that nurse.  Mike its like we are going in circles here. I don't blame Otis for any of the other members problems. I blame grown men for allowing this background singer the privledge to stay in the group for so long. I mean afterall Otis serves no purpose according to you and he isn't a good performer nor is he a good businessman. I mean why wasn't he voted out by the voices? To say that getting five men together to sing classics doesn't sit well with you hmmmm Isn't that exactly what Dennis, Richard, Glenn and Ali are doing so why single out Otis? OOOOh I forgot it's OTIS he's a background singer my bad! Well I guess the background singer's last three cd's that are triple platinum, grammy award winning and latest grammy nominated since the voices left just proves that Otis is just a straight up loser. Oooh that's right even Alfafa can win a grammy now my bad! So Mike does that same rule apply to Gladys?? I mean afterall she won a grammy last year and her cd didn't sell well. I personally loved it but let's face it the cd wasn't a commercial success. I guess Alfafa should have won her grammy. No I guess this just applies to the Motown Temptations. Otis is such a loser isn't he?? ;D ;D ;D |

I owe him "O" ,zero,zilch ! Maybe for you ,but the reality is that without the VOICES,there would be NO TEMPTATIONS ! Kim,my misguided love,Dennis is singing HIS SONGS,and despite you trying to piggyback Gladys to make your point,gives me great pride in knowing that you had to take that avenue(even if you made a wrong turn  )knowing in your heart that Otis couldn't do Ms. Knight's soundcheck! Ms Knight winning a grammy fo a cd that she complained got no airplay ! That must be an empty feeling. She has TALENT . That why she was complaining ,she deserves airplay ! And besides,you STill haven't heard Otis's crew do a better song than "Stay" ! Truth be told,you or Ivory can't justify the last grammy that they begged...I mean "won" ;D(Yeah,Right) So ,with that being said ,If you don't want to go in circles,don't go there,because I will GLADLY go with you ! All y'all have to do is "Say The Word". Right,Diva ? I never said that Otis was a "straight-up loser,just SHADY,baby ! Alfalfa sings better than "O"! At least Alfalfa attempts to sing,he even has the heart to cover for an absent member of his group. What about Otis ? Only if it's a LIP SYNC performance !   ;D |

It was not like that in the 60's & 70's! You got a grammy the old fashioned way......THEY EARNED IT ! ;D And the song that won a Grammy was well known ! Not the Mystery Song Of the Year !  Like Friends Of Distinction say, " You Got Me Going In Circles" ! |

baby please, don't go, (james brown 1966) otis isn't responsible for the process. but he has benefitted from it. i would think my girl would get a special grammy for it's lifetime achievement more than something from earresistable. not downing the new stuff( ), just thinking the ain't too proud to beg is better than eminem winning something. |

I do remember reading in the paper the review for a Temptations/4 tops show in Oakland. This was shortly after Motown 25 and Dennis was not there. The reviewer made a point of mentioning that Richard sang lead that night and did a great job. Later that week they were on Good Morning America and they said Dennis "had the flu" and they talked about the new guy in the group-Ron Tyson. I think that Richard is a lead singer but like Otis said the powers that be prefered Dennis. I recall seeing them in 1990 and Richard sang Shout. (I always think of that when I see the movie) and My Girl. I thought maybe Richard sang it because Paul did and since he was filling in for him it seemed like the right thing to do. But Richard was and is one of my favorite Temptations.
