Hello, new members. It seems like there are quite a few. Why don't you tell us somthing about yourselves. We all want to know. Where you from? How'd you find us? Why do you like the tempts? When/How did you get into the tempts? 1. i'm from chester pa. 2. i always go to this site 3. they songs are blaze (all of there songs to me) 4. my parents listened to them and other legends so i grew up on it but ain't start listening to them untill the movie got me hooked |

Hi, I'm Tess and this is my first post. I am from Charleston, West Virginia and I found you while doing research for a "Motown Night" fundraiser that I was planning for a nonprofit group this past spring (tough job, huh?). I have been a Motown fan since junior high in the 60's and the Tempts have always been my favorites, especially Ruffin. While working on the Motown event I fell in love with them all over again. Just finished reading Genna Sapia Ruffin's book and have LOTS of questions...anyone here want to discuss?

How Did I Find You?
By searching and searching and searching the internet, determined to find a good site about the Temptation. Finally I clicked on you guys.
Why Do I Like The Temptations?
From the time I was in junior high school, I have been a Temptations fan. Their smooth sound and those awesome dance steps made me fall in love with them. They have always been so polished and such great performers.
When/How Did I Get Into The Temptations?
When I was a teenager, all the guys in my neighborhood would try to imitate the Temptations. My cousin was a huge Temptations fan and he four of his friends together and "became the Temptations". They even took their show on television. ( A local dance program in our area at the time). The girls "lost their minds" when they saw my cousin and the other guys. They would let me hang around them while they practiced their moves.
Then I saw the Temptations live when they came to my hometown. I was right on the front row. I was hooked from that point on.

Congratulations to the Temptations. Bringing G.C. Cameron into the group was the best thing since David Ruffin. His voice and stage presence brings the "umphf" they needed for the group.
Now they really sound like the original Temptations!

i am brand new just saying hello
21 yr old from seattle
since i was little my parents have been playing the temptations in the car and the love went to me and i have every song i can get my hands by them they have songs for every mood and you can't get tired of them

I know I'm a bit late with this, but I thought I'd do my part here I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio I found this board following Ivory from iMusic, it took a long time for me to finally jump in over here, but now that I'm here, I feel at home...FANTASTIC GROUP to be a part of  I loved the C5 from the the first time I heard them when I was about 7 or 8 yrs. old..David Ruffin's voice made an indelible impression on my young musical awakening....(That was the answers to both of the last questions) |
