Hello Everybody ! I feel like I've come home where I belong. I've been a Tempts fan since I first heard my boys singing "My Girl", and "It's Growing" back around 1963 or 1964 and I've been hooked ever since. As a matter of fact the very first album I ever bought with my own money from an after school part time job was The Temptations Wish it Would Rain back in 1968. My high school years were filled with me singing in various singing groups on street corners and in nite clubs doing Tempts songs and pattering my vocals after David Ruffin and Dennis Edwards. My biggest thrill came in 1972 when Eddie Kendricks began his solo work. He came to Memphis where I grew up and live today and came by my high school where I got to meet him. He was appearing at a local nite club in town called The Club Paradise for two nights and I got to spend both nights back stage and up front in the audiance. It was an incredible experience that has stayed with me forever. one thing I will always remember is how kind and patient he was with this nervous kid who was so incredibly tongue tied and so much in awe of him. My music career only got as far as the chitlin' circuit but I got the opportunity to work with a lot of wonderful entertainers like Ted Taylor, Little Milton Cambell, Rufus Thomas and others. I also had a long and wonderful long career in gospel music before starting my long and funfilled years as a radio announcer and programer. Through it all my boys The Temptations were there in various incarnations of lead singers that never failed to amaze me and though some may argue as to whether the original line up was or was not better than previous and or it's current line up, one thing cannot be denied and that is that Otis has carried on the tradition of the group splendidly. No matter who joins or leaves the group you can always expect strong lead vocals and some of the tightest and most intricate background vocals of any vocal aggregation out there. Don't get me started talking about my boys. They make proud to be a Temptation fan and I am proud and pleased as punch to be able to share my love of my boys with others who feel as I do. The only regret I have is that I am only five foot two cause Lord knows I would have worried Otis to death for a chance to audition for the group, not that I would have been invited to join but one can always dream. God bless you all from TemptsFanforLife.

You got some great memories going on. The Temptations are the reason why I cofounded a singing group in high school (class of 1981) patterned after them. Great to have you on board with us. Enjoy your stay.
