Ok .............. now that was good. But here's what I mean. ...........
I'm praying for something specific, but I think my prayers aren't making it to Heaven because I don't REALLY deep down inside believe that they'll be granted. I mean I WANT them to, but I think I haven't convinced myself that it COULD happen. Like if God DID grant my prayer, I think I'd be shocked. And that's not how it's supposed to be. My faith's not strong enough. I say my prayer in an almost half-joking manner. I'm not convinced myself, so why's God gonna take me seriously?
YOU KNOW WHAT?
You said "I don't REALLY deep down inside believe that they'll be granted."
You have what you believe. How can you receive if you don't believe? That's your first problem. Start with believing Mark 11:24. Either you believe it or you don't. If you do, then just wait on the Lord, His timing, not ours. If you don't, then I can't help you. You have to bring something to the table.

That's just my point, I need MOTIVATION to help me believe!
See, this is about where my Dad would use a preacher's story for illustration. (hint, hint)

And how do you quote somebody up in here? That looks like my drama instead of yours.

Well, Kalisa and I fall into the "don't use the quote function" school of thought. I just select the [bold] icon (the button with the B on it) and then copy and paste just the part of the post I'm replying to, into those brackets where the word "TEXT" is.

Where's the auditorium?
And before I write another book up in here, I suggest you read the ones I've already written for your stories dahlin'.
Now you talk about some prayer, faith, how to get from point A to point B, and all that stuff you asking about. It's all in there.
Life is about choices. For folks who choose not to believe until they are motivated to do so, life has a way of motivating folks to RUN to God for help, comfort, reassurance, etc. when they have no where else to turn. You can make the choice now on your own, or you can wait for life to make it for you.

1- address our Heavenly Father 2- thank Him for your many blessings- and name them 3- tell Him what's in your heart and think things over- casual prayer gets casual response 4-ask Him for whatever you truly need - not greed 5-close in the name of Jesus Christ, amen. prayer keeps you from evil and evil keeps you from prayer ere you left your room this morning, did you think to pray, in the name of Christ our savior, did you sue for loving favor, as a shield today oh, how praying rests the weary, prayer can change the night to day, so when life gets dark and dreary, don't forget to pray. if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God , who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not.... Amen and AMEN! Sukka, I'm lovin that!

Hey ((((((((((2Sweet)))))))) I was in a counseling session with Ivory. She wanted what she wanted, instead of what she needed. You know how dem types is.
Let me ask you a question. The word or stories, which do you prefer? No combining like "stories about the word". Just one or the other.
