Ok, Prayer it is.

Just so you'll know how important prayer is, compare it to brushing your teeth in the morning. Now how important is that? I mean how offensive is talking to somebody who ain't done brushed they teeth. Totally disgusting. I don't know too many people that wake up with sweet breath. I know I ain't trying to say a word until after I brush my teeth, at least.

Praying in the mornings should be like brushing your teeth. Who would even consider going out of the house in the mornings without brushing your teeth first? That should be illegal. I know if I came up to you and said, "good morning" and hadn't brushed my teeth, you would be like, "What? Call the police."

Well God is just as offended when you get up and don't at least acknowledge Him. A simple prayer, "Lord, thank you for waking me up this morning. Thank you for being with me all day long. Thank you for this beautiful day. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen". That is the least you can do. But who wants to give God their least when He gave us His best? That would be Jesus. Our absolute very best doesn't even come close to His least. So let's get the least we can do down, then ascend from there.

3- tell Him what's in your heart and think things over- casual prayer gets casual response

Ok .............. now that was good. But here's what I mean. ...........

I'm praying for something specific, but I think my prayers aren't making it to Heaven because I don't REALLY deep down inside believe that they'll be granted. I mean I WANT them to, but I think I haven't convinced myself that it COULD happen. Like if God DID grant my prayer, I think I'd be shocked. And that's not how it's supposed to be. My faith's not strong enough. I say my prayer in an almost half-joking manner. I'm not convinced myself, so why's God gonna take me seriously?

So you know, help motivate me!!!!!

Ivory, your problem is simple. You think it's about you. NOT!!!! Once we get a revelation that this thing is not about us, but about Jesus and what happened when He got up on that cross and died for us then we'll understand that it's all about the BLOOD baby. Can you say that, "IT AIN'T ABOUT ME, IT'S ABOUT THE BLOOD BABY". Keep repeating that to yourself, like all day, everyday.

See what had happened was, God saw that men were feeling just like you described you felt. So He said, "they ARE kinda jacked-up so I'll just go down in the form of a man named Jesus and fix everything, cause Ivory's right, she'll never get it together on her own. So when she prays to me IN THE NAME OF JESUS and realizes that it's not her or anything she's done, ***EXCEPT ACCEPTING JESUS AS HER LORD AND SAVIOR*** that I'm considering as I decide to bless her or not, it's THE NAME she's asking in that will guarantee that I will answer her prayers. Get it?

It ain't about us yall. Now that'll set you free up in here. But it doesn't give you a license to sin either. Contrary to what some may think, God ain't no fool and knows when somebody trying to play Him. Don't be stoopid.

I knew we would get to Bible study, just not this fast. Shoot. I ain't really got my preach on yet, but John 16:23 backs up everything I just said, and trust me, the word will never return void. If you believe it, then you'll receive it. We're talking God here.

Now who you gonna believe, them aliens playing around in your mind or them words written in red in your Bible, indicating that the man said it himself? The black words work too. I done tested all of them. They work I tell ya.

And another thing. If you don't believe the Bible then I'm just wasting my time here, because the word of God is the final authority on EVERYTHING!!!
