LOL...I want anyone who lets the song pass their lips to sing it like that!!! and if it has to be Bo, so be it . Or not. We should take this campaign to Otis. Maybe he'll make the changes.

Ivory...by the way, I had a random thought sparked by your comment that Otis never misses his timing on the "WHAT" in "My Girl"...
Do you suppose they started doing the syncopation or whatever you call it where the lead sings "WHAT" first and then the rest sing it, in order to give Otis fair warning of what he's supposed to do next? 1$-) 1$-) 1$-)

I don't care who sings it as long as it's not.......all together now........RICHARD!!!!!! ;D Not Richard? Wow. I don't think Richard was great singing it, but it was sure fun listening to him. He sang it so delicately. He sang it as if he was trying to hold on. He didn't attack it. Richard craddles the song. He almost babies it. I get the true senitiment of the songs because of the caution he uses while singing it. Nothing is overlooked.

It is the national anthem of the Temptations and all you have to know is Dennis refused to sing it out of deference to the master Ruffin. He still doesn't really sing it today. So there have been others in the group who could do it justice....Ali....Theo to name two ;D. ;D

In Oklahoma City, the part where they allow people to get on stage and murder 'My Girl' and showcase their lack of rhythm, the best singer on murder on stage that night was not the dorky dude, not the overly dressed woman, but the churchy dude who just came from choir rehearsal 2 hours ago and is trying to belt out that song with all those runs (more runs than Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men and Beyonce Knowles of Destiny's Child combined) like Otis was going to get his phone number after the show and bring him up to rehearse with them.
In Tulsa, the best dancer and singer out of the 'My Girl' murderers was one person. He was in his home town for a little while. He was an out of work (actually retired) 37 year old. John Starks, formerly of the New York Knicks, danced like he was at some club or something and sang 'My Girl' an octave lower than everyone else, but he didn't suck. He knew his limits. I just wished he would've stopped taking three point shots on a fast break.
