2-) Praise the Lord! It is so good to hear the news about these 7 POWs! I know their families are shouting for joy this day.

You know, maybe this just means that I've been watching CNN too long, but I think we can add former POW Ronald Young, (the blue pinstripe pajama guy) to the list of "Iraqi War Cuties." Gotta love that smile!

Know what I love Ivory? You! You who so strongly oppose the war yet you find a way to support those who must fight in it. I go to sleep at night with it on and make sure I watch it in the morning before I go to my office. It is what this country is about. You can state your beliefs without having to duck because you made a comment someone didn't agree with. God Bless You and all those who feel as you do. For what you do this is for you. Now go put that red dress back on!!!!!!!! ;D ;D

Well it's like I've said before, I think the notion that those fighting in Iraq are fighting to protect OUR freedom is total BS. Saddam was never a threat to OUR liberty and he never could be. But the fact remains that IF my liberty and freedom was REALLY in danger, any of those people would lay down and die to protect me. And THAT I can respect. They are just acting on orders, it's that fella with the cowboy hat and the five stars on his shoulder that *I* have issues with.

And if any of the returning sailors or soldiers need me to put on a nurses uniform to welcome them home, I'll be happy to contribute to a worthy cause!

For some reason I've been collecting newspapers since last semester (they give them to us for free--and I love free). Anyway, I was looking for something and ran across an editorial where the writer, Charley Reese, was saying something that I think was what I've been trying to articulate. I don't think the writer too much cares for Bush, but as far as my feelings go, this might actually sum it up.
The title said "Support American troops, but don't give Bush credit for their bravery." He went on in the column to say, "Despite the high-sounding title, the commander in chief's role in the war is limited to saying "Go to war" and "Stop the war." He is not a trooper. He is a civilian politician..... By all means, support the troops, but don't let Mr. Bush off the hook. Don't let him get away with taking credit for their bravery and their sacrifice, as he is trying to do by strutting about, making bellicose, smirky speeches."
Oh, and anybody who knows, could you tell me what a Bronx raspberry is?

bush is not responsible for their bravery. the troops are . they are also an all volunteer army so they were not ''forced'' into war like in vietnam ,korea, or world war 2. the funny thing is, men and women are signing up all across america at a record pace. more arm twisting i guess.

I met the "Acting" Army Chief of Staff today. He is a 4 star General Keane. He shook my hand and gave me a coin. Since Gen Shinseiki has resigned they have to fiil the slot...so this guy is doing it for now until a perm replacement has been appointed(or accepts the position). There are not that many 4 Stars in the army and a few have turned the position down. Gen Tommy Franks for example will retire and I believe he will write a book. This current guy I saw today will retire, doesn't want the position. I hear its because no one wants to work with Donald Rumsfield(sp and 2 lazy 2 check). Its quite interesting actually the politics behind it all. But anyways They have these special coins made up and they give them out and the point of all this rambling is I got one today. yay me!

Yeah, I'd make a GREAT Cheif of Staff. The first thing I'd do is give all female soldiers the option of wearing these instead of their regular boots ....... And then I'd just overhaul the whole military code for female soldiers. I mean, those uniforms are just not very fashionable. Way too ....... well ......... butch. Then, I'd get everyone out of Iraq and every where else violent for that matter. The Army would focus all of it's efforts of rescuing homeless kitty cats or something like that. ;D Well, not ALL of the Army. One Army dude in particular would be reassigned to fly me to work every day in his chopper. You my dear Kiki would be deployed to the Tempts ......... wherever they are, that's where you'd be stationed.
