Hi to all, Well, I'm finally home after a very long abscence. It's feels soooooo wonderful to be here. Quite a lot has happened in my life since I last spoke with some of you. I added a new Temptation fan by the name of Alexis 2 years ago as some of you may remember. But gosh/darnet that wasn't enough. I did it again, this time adding a little boy whom I call Jordan (4 months old). It's going to be so wonderful watching my children groove to the sounds of My Girl, The way you do the things you do, etc. Along with having babies, I've been doing the concert thing. I saw the TemptationsReview with Dennis Edwards and they were simply awesome. It's the next best thing to the originals as one can get. Dennis looks great by the way. Next was Maze featuring Frankie Beverly and I can truly say that I left that concert with Happy Feelings! Because I never got a chance to see David or Eddie in concert which was truly a loss on my part, I decided to see Bobby Womack next. This decision came about due to a video where Bobby did a tribute to the pair. Bobby's performance was so awesome that the next day I was out trying to find everything's that he's ever done. I was in the third row and this man came out into the audience bumping and grinding and pouring water all over himself. He was hotter than a firecracker if I might add. Literally! He was magnificent! I'm also the proud owner of many Bobby pictures and had the pleasure of meeting him after the concert. Judy, congrats on your retirement. I see you found something else to do with your time. Since I'm a traveler, look for me in the future. Your place appears so warm and homey. I need further info, so e-mail me when you get a chance. Ivory, what's up girl? Thanks for leading me home. Are u still in the purse business (jokey joke). How's life been treating you these days? Edy, GD, Petey, Sonia, how yall be? I want to say hello to another member but forgot her name but I remember she was always looking for Leon or his thighs.(hehehe). Well enough said, holla back whenever you guys get a chance!

Well you HAVE been busy haven't you! It's a shame, but I have no idea what has happened to all of those people you mentioned (besides Judy aka Fair Lady Soul of course.) Haven't heard from GD or Petey in I don't know when, Edy is out in Hawaii searching for macadamia nuts I think, Ruffing aka "Looking For Leon's Thigh" apparently found his thigh and subsequently disappeared. Oh, of course Sonia is still holding down the fort at barringtonhenderson.com and you'll find "Yalls" aka Ronafied over at the Quick Topic clubs (link to that on my links page.) But anyway, no I'm out of the ugly purse business and into the china and crystal business (in the home store of one of the local dept. stores) I have one chapter left on my master's thesis which I am finishing with great rapidity. I hear Nisha graduated and is on her way to law school and I think Salina's still running thinks over at tempts4ever.com If you are SERIOUS about coming to see Judy, then you ought to come out at the end of next month when I'll be up there! She and I, along with Jonel and Mr. Jonel are going to the Wolf Trap Tempts and Tops concert along with a bunch of other folks I'm sure. Judy and I have front-row seats and we're prepared! She's gonna grab Theo's top half and I'm gonna grab his bottom half and Jonel's gonna have the car ready waiting to make our get away! ;D ha ha

i can relate to the joy of new babies and adding to your family!as a father of 5 and a grandfather of 2 i was truly blessed to go to church today and my 5 yr old sang daddy songs with the other primary kids. i spoke to my dad whom i visited last week. my son in utah called me and i talked to my grandkids. my daughter is in florida on vacation and my 3 still at home played pickle with me in the backyard.-i got tagged too fast because ize a ol' sukkafu now! the weather was perfect-80 degrees, low humidity and my house has a view of all the surrounding hills and mountains. my wife made a killer lasagna and salad and fruit salad. i got great gifts and even better hugs and kisses. i spoke to my brother and sister in law. what a great thing GOD has given us- FAMILIES! AND THE TEMPTS OF COURSE!

i am EXTREMELY JEALOUS after reading your last post ivory-not that there's a MR. IVORY- that's fine- BUT i'm jealous of you having TEMPTS/TOPS front row seats at WOLF TRAP! that place is awesome! when i was 16 my folks took me there to see the metropolitan opera do carmen! what a production. the acoustics there are awesome! i guess i'll have to settle for the free TEMPTS concert here at 4th of july with fireworks and the u.s.navy band - cool but tempts/tops are the best!

Happy belated Father's Day Sukka!!!!
I could hardly believe I was able to get front row seats, but I guess I'm on a streak. This will make two front row concerts in a row.
If your concert is free Sukka, can't you get up front too if you get their early enough?

A) thank you ive! B) you got front row seats because you're special and most of all you're on assignment from us to get more pix to post(especially of the handshakes and such with the blonde curls flying)LOL! C) the concert is free with admission to the fair, but to get good seats you must pay for a dinner as well as reserved seats which runs into the $75 range. i love the tempts but i am going to sit farther back and just give up $12 for the fair admission. by the way, you want to hear something sick, ive? the Rolling Stones are coming to san diego in 3 months but 2 weeks ago they announced tickets on sale for 300-500 dollars for up close at the sports arena, which is acoustically bankrupt! nosebleed seats at this horrible place are 50 bucks. THEY SOLD OUT IN 20 MINUTES! i know otis is 60, but at least he doesn't act like an idiot like 58 yr old mick jagger. last time the stones were here they played in the rain in the padres stadium but you could afford the tix.

This has got to be the most comforting thread that I have seen or read in a Loooooooong time! Sukka, you're brave to join right in 'cause these people are '98-'99 Imusic folks! ((((Ms. ShowMe)))) it is so good to read how things have been going with you. Congratulations on the mini-Tempts fans Alexis and Jordan! Are they going to New Orleans too? The Essence festival sounds lovely. But, as Ivory and Judy said, we will be kidnapping Theo right about then. John (aka Mr. Jonel) and I caught Dennis' show when he was in Richmond in March and it was a GREAT performance. They were with the Tom Joyner package, including the O'Jays and The Dramatics. We enjoyed it so much! Then we caught the Temptations in Roanoke in April and they looked and sang better than ever. Happy Father's Day Sukka! From your description, you couldn't have had a better one.....lasagna and love. Sukka, where are you going to see the Tempts at a fair?

1) THANK YOU LADY JONEL! ;D 2) yes, except today my wife had a little left over lasagna saved for her and of course she was out for a minute and i ASSUMED it was left over for me(although it was not a big piece-a clue i should've picked up on) so i got a little frown out of her today. 3) the del mar fair is now called the san diego county fair and it is located in the del mar race track( the one started in 1936 by bing crosby and jimmy durante) and the general admission is in the grandstands . the turf club is where the reserved dinners are and then the front seats are by the stage in front of the oval track.

LOL! Sukka, the only photos you may get of me this time will be my MUG shot, ha ha! I don't know though, if I were offered the chance to see the Tempts up close AND get food for $75, I think I'd have to take that. But I'm a crazed fan.

Just got home from seeing the Temptations two concerts at Grand Casino Tunica. That makes three concerts in one month. Since Ivory Fair mentioned what they wore in Chattanooga (and so sorry I missed them there), I thought I'd add what they wore at these three concerts. The first one they wore light gray suits with white shirts and white shoes. Very elegant and classy. The next one they wore charcoal gray suits with a tiny piece of red braid near the collar and red lining that showed sometimes as they danced. Just a flash of red, nothing ostentatious. Again, elegant and classy. And they wore black shoes that seemed to make a shiny statement as their feet moved. The last time they wore...well, I was surprised. It wasn't the lime green suits, but... They wore pastel colored suits with each one in a different color. Harry wore gold, Ron a very pale green, Bo a pale yellow, Terry a (either light gray or light lavender), and Otis a pale pink.
They looked nice. And actually the colors were all very tasteful. I had just expected either black tux or a white dinner jacket or that nice brown the Classic Five wore at times.
I think the present group is excellent. I hear everyone talking about "Four Days." They sung "Four Days" and the audience loved it. But it really hadn't been my favorite "new" song, and, then, this morning as I got ready to leave a Temptations song was rattling around in my head singing to me. To my surprise, it was "Four Days."

HALLELUJAH Girl!!!! Those pastel suits are what is commonly known among the Tempts Internet fan community as the WORLD FAMOUS......... GOTTA SEE THEM TO BELIEVE IT........ OFTEN IMITATED BUT NEVER DUPLICATED............ [glow=red,2,300] SHERBERT[/glow] Suits!!!!!! Y'all haven't LIVED until you've seen these suits in person and I am fortunate enough to have seen them twice. I mean these things are the STUFF OF LEGEND!!!!! Here's a photo, but it doesn't really do the suits justice.... But they are in my opinion.... the BEST outfits the Tempts ever wore!!!! Thanks for the update (((Jane!!!!!)))
