Booo! Just kidding ... That's all right, Ewing getting his jersey retired and all. My cousin looks just like him. Back when Pat was still playing for NY, my cousin was going to take a trip to the Big Apple and I said, "Say hey to your daddy for me." ;D This reminds me of a question. For somebody like Pat Ewing, called one of the greatest players of all time, is it very disappointing when you don't have a ring to show for all your hard work?

Yes it does hurt but he did have his chances. So he shouldn't feel bad. His problem to me was he was always putting his foot in his mouth by guaranteeing a win in a big game and then losing. If he had not done that he would be beloved in NY. As it is he is still the greatest Knick of all time based on numbers alone!

What in the world, sukkafu? My first thought after glancing at the first line was that you were describing a game and then I knew you were in fantasy land.
I think it was a really poignant ceremony with all the stars that played at the same time he did there, sort of a graduating class. Nice and sweet. It's difficult to think of this adjective as describing someone so big, but I always thought Patrick was a sweet person.

Patrick was "sweet" jane to a fault. He had small hands and coudn't palm the basketball very well and he wasn't aggressive. That why they kept trying to find someone to play next to him that was likw the X man and the Oak man. They helped him get deep in the playoffs but no ring.

i thought it was interesting that my friend who was 5 foot 9 could palm the ball, but elden campbell who's almost 7 feet tall, can't.
i also have been blessed with small hands. i have small thin wrists and forearms, but i have big shoulders and powerful legs, could always run fast, still do, at 45, i can beat stevie in a sprint, but i have little power to propel a softball. i've always been a singles hitter but never a bomb.
