Mutombo could be missing all his fronts right now 'cause of all those little fouls that Shaq committed against him during the Finals two seasons ago, lol. ;D

I just see Shaq's size as both a disadvantage and an advantage. Advantage is that his size intimidates other players and no one can contain him. Disadvantage, it's much more obvious when he fouls somebody, and sometimes his size ends up getting him a foul. Another disadvantage, as Aba said earlier, what might get done to a 6'1 player is looked at as a foul, the effects being very noticable. But since its being done to 350 pound Shaq, who doesn't flop straight to the floor, it doesn't really seem like a foul, when sometimes it is.
But another thing, you can't use your size for unneccesary reasons. Bowing somebody in the neck ain't right. (NOt sayin that Shaq has done this)

Getting off Shaq for a minute... You want to talk about flopping. Karl Malone is the king of flop. I hate to watch him play (I don't like the Jazz anyway). Sometimes you wanna yell at him to just play the game and stop whining. Now, I haven't seen him play in a while; has he gotten himself under control (those of you who watch the Jazz)?

I love the kings with all my heart, but Vlade Divac should win an Oscar in the category of "Best Actor". I'm not even gonna try to deny that! I remember the little "flop" doll some kid was wavin' around of him at one of those Semifinal games last year.

I forgot all about Vlade. I can picture his flopping in my head right now. ;D Where is he, anyway? I haven't seen nor heard about the man in a while.

Maybe he needs to take a break from his acting job. Just kidding. Last time I saw, he was still playin, with the Kings, and he wasn't playin' too bad. But I heard on some show I was watchin (maybe ESPN), that some athletes may not be getting their contract renewed or something to that affect. I'm not too sure though

So you're saying they might be sending Vlade back to Yugoslavia? I've got to keep abreast of this situation, 'cause I like really like that dude.

vlade isn't going anywhere except to the floor.
aba will tell you that the king of crybabies pretending to get fouled was bill lambeer of the pistons.
karl malone always got to the line more than anyone. he was good a t getting the calls. still, he is a hall of famer for sure.

You know, I was surprised to hear that Dominique Wilkins wasn't in the top 50 players of all time. I'll be back when I remember who told me that.

Irlm...during the course of a ball game words are being exchanged all the time between combattants. They are not always harsh but when the contact escalates and you elbow me outside the chest area, we got to talk about it. I will warn you usually one time and then I will respond in kind. I always liked it when my opponet set the bar for the night's game. Hit me......cause I sure as hell am going to hit you..like it or not. So when you hit me, I didn't get mad. I usually said something like, "that's a good one! It's on now!" Understand that this hitting I'm refering to is just the constant contact in the ball game, nothing special. It happens in every ball game. If Allen or Michael ever went off on someone during a game it would not draw the same conversation as if Shaq did it. He is held to another standard because of his size and it's wrong.
And those weren't little fouls.....they were big time championship game fouls. I told you don't play defense with your head!!!!! Move your feet! Ask any coach. I was screaming at Motombo to back off and let him commit first. He was playing off the contact of Motombo and feeling for him and reacting to it.
Yeah Mike....first game of the season in the last year of the ABA. Had to do it. Had big Rich Jones on my left and SuperJohn on my right! Uh...we got the ring I think!!!! ;D
I HATE FLOPPERS!!!!! I HATE THEM LIKE CRAZY!!!!! Reggie Miller....would have hurt him...hey I'm going to get called for the foul anyway, I might as well make it a good one. Karl Malone....would have fought him every day for the rest of my life if he had done to me what he did to David Robinson. He crosses the line every night. I would have had to fight him on general priciple just so I could finish my career.!!!!! ;D Now Vlade...I just want to slap the s#*%@ out of him
It's a joke that the Human Highlight film isn't in the top 50 ALL time greatest. Forget that we went to the same school!!! ;D
I'm gettin off this thread cause ya'll got me over here having flash backs!!!! ;D ;D ;D

is kobe really the mvp? sure he scored 40 again, but with shaq hurt friday, san antonio squeezed a victory, and with shaq out yesterday, the knicks were able to beat the lakers . if shaq had been healthy, thos e2 games go in the win column.
HE'S YOUR MVP! NOT KOBE! WITH SHAQ- LAKERS ARE 23-15. WITHOUT SHAQ,3-10. AND 3 OF THE OTHER LOSSES WERE WITH SHAQ INJURED BUT PLAYED ANYWAY.

I don't disagree with the fact that Shaq is the dominant force the Lakers need to continue winning. But how do you think the games would go if Kobe was the one out for a long time?
