First of all, that was supposed to be Tempts/Spinners. Secondly, just b/c our dear Ivory is leaving Nashville does not mean that it is no longer a place. Just not her place. ;D

All I can say about the show... WOW!!!
The Tempts sang 23 songs in about an hour and a half. GC, Otis, Ron, and Terry performed onstage and Joe sang offstage (except for the last two songs.) They wore black tuxes with white shirts. The tuxes had two stripes down the side of the legs instead of the traditional one. They did not wear ties, leaving the collar button unbuttoned and a stud hanging from the open hole.
The rundown: -Band Intro -Papa Was a Rolling Stone -Ball of Confusion -Tempts appear and start the show -The Way You Do The Things You Do (Ron leads) -Ain't Too Proud to Beg (GC) -Ball of Confusion (Ron) -I Wish It Would Rain (GC) -Just My Imagination (Ron) -Papa Was a Rolling Stone (GC) -Standing on the Top (GC) -Get Ready (Ron) ***Otis pushes for merchandise sales... focuses on "My Girl: The Very Best of the Temptations" CD for $30, and an autographed copy of his autobiography for $35.*** -Stay (GC) *GC talks about how men ask why they never sing a song for the fellas. He asks if the men want a song for them. I, and I alone, stand up and acknowledge his comment. This leads to Otis pointing at me. GC goes on to say, "Sorry, we don't have one. But this next song is good advice for you gentlemen out there." We get.... -Treat Her Like a Lady (GC) -Group Introductions -Memories (GC) -I'll Be in Trouble (Ron) -It's Growing (GC) -Please Return Your Love to Me (Ron) -Since I Lost My Baby (Terry) -The Girl's Alright with Me (Ron) -Don't Look Back (GC) -All I Need (GC) -Beauty's Only Skin Deep (GC) -My Girl (GC) -(I Know) I'm Losin' You (GC) -Joe comes on stage... -White Christmas (Joe) -Silent Night (Ron)
Need I say more. The show was phenomenal. The only downside was Otis was signing autographs, but left when neither me nor the lady waiting with me had a pen. As I walked off, I realized I had one in my pocket. As Homer Simpson would say... "DOH!"
On a side note... the Spinners were impressive. I never followed them that closely, so most of their stuff was new to me. Sorry...

Shout outs to ((((((((((((EVERYBODY)))))))) in this thread!!
Hey (((TheCharlie)))! Thanks so much for your review!! I really Enjoyed reading it!! Wow, (((Joe)) sang "White Christmas"!! I know that was Great!! Oh Joe has a Wonderful voice on him!! When I saw the Tempts at the Star Plaza last Friday, even though I wish ((((Barrington)) and ((((Harry))) was there, I Enjoyed the concert immensely!! I will be honest though, I'm wondering can (((Joe))) dance!! I want to see that man cut up on the stage, cause we know to be a Temptations you can't just know how to sing, you have to know how to dance!! Joe did do a little dance at my concert that made me think he can step a little, but I want to see the full thing!! LOL!! I'm looking forward to a review when someone says that he did the whole show. I know with all the dances that the Tempts do that it takes time to learn them. TTYL!

(((TheCharlie))))! I forgot to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Spinners' songs!! I saw the Spinners with the Tempts at my "DCT" Ravina concert in Sept 2000, and oh I was in Music Memory Heaven!! That just came to mind right now!! LOL!! Tears came to my eyes hearing "Sadie". It makes me think of my (((Mama)) and (((Grandmother))). "There was no time to eat. She said to me, boy hurry to Sunday School. "If there is a heaven up above, I know that she's teaching angels how to Love." Hey Now!! You know she's got it going on teaching the angels how to Love! Both of those lines touch me. The first one makes me think of Sunday school days, and the second one - just for the thought of having so much Love you can teach an angel!! Wow!! TTYL!

Yeah, from what I remember the other Tempts-esque groups do Tempts-esque moves. Make sense?

Terry didn't lead? That sucks. I will find it really hard to see them if Terry isn't taking some snaps.
