You know how they have the paging device to find your cordless phone if you've misplaced it? (Push that little button on the base of it.) Do they have remotes like that? They need some kind of "homing device" so you can "page it" and it will make a sound. Solves the problem of a lost remote!!

If there were a remote like that, I would be watching TV 24/7.

You know, I think I've seen that feature on some TVs. Speaking of which, a semi passed me on the road today and attached to the cab was a Direct TV sattelite ........ I don't know if that QUITE fits in this thread, but it's still cool regardless!!!! ............. I wonder if I could get one of those for my sedan?

on frontier airlines and on jetblue airlines, they both have directv on their flights instead of movies- you get 24 channels to choose from. it's pretty cool.
on the flight to baltimore i got maid in manhattan, plus a frasier episode, and some vh1 videos. on the way back, i got star trek nemesis and more of the other stuff.
i have onstar in my new caddy- it's pretty wild.

Oh, I know what you are talking about. My friend laura has one in her car. It's a pretty neat thing. she once plugged in directions from my place to her place. It told her one way, so I specifically went another. And it didn't matter it kept calculating directions from whereever we went.

How could you all forget the long playing record and the 45? Were it not for these things, we wouldn't even BE here talking about the Temptations. We'd have to go on the memories of old time detroiters who would remember them performing at the 20 Grand, and other cool venues. I don't have to regret the fact that I wasn't around then too much, because I have the records. the records are there to be reissued as CDs. Indispensable to my music-lovin' heart.

Yes, the 45 and the LP. You are so correct, Nish. But I marvel over that little adapter thingy they put on the turntable to play the 45. Now, that's a great invention. But I always wondered why they didn't justmake the whole smaller.
