It was selfish....state of the art remote control.
Suk what the heck you think we were doing in the old days? We we trying to think of something so we wouldn't have to get up? Now we got it...why should I get up if I don't have to? ;D ;D ;D I do my roadwork and then I sit down.
BTW, the GF grill is the only thing I have ever bought off an infomercial. I have the big one now. Takes up half the counter in my kitchen.

Computers. Freeze frame so that people are able to take pictures from the TV. Caller ID. Computer programs which allow you to create things that you could only buy in a store (like calendars, iron-ons for t-shirts and bags, etc...) Hand sanitizer Those new backpacks with wheels, so you don't have to break your back carrying 4 or more heavy books to school and home.

I don't know any american household without one. seriously. That is a piece of Magic. George must be proud of himself.
I know you might not buy thing off of the Tv, but Aba, there is this vaccum sealer and it's great. I used to have it until it and my manual pasta maker mysteriously disappeared from my home after I broke up with my ex. This vaccum sealer was great. everything was fresh. you could even keep soda fresh. Oh, I miss it more than I miss my ex.
Now, speaking of inventions, I think that the curtains and blinds are the best inventions and the oddest inventions ever.
First we built houses to keep us private from the world. So nobody could see our business. Then people got tired of being so private, so they made windows, so they could see the world and the world could see them. Then they said forget all of this seeing the world stuff and they made curtain to hide again.
