Hearsay. I haven't crossed paths with ANYONE that can back this up. And would those comments that you haven't been able to verify hearsay too? And by the way were you there to verify that David never missed a show? Otis' book is his side of the story the same way Mary gave her side of the story regarding the Supremes. But its okay to question Otis and go along with everything Mary said about Ms. Ross and Florence. |

If Otis was lying about David missing that show, David had the time and opportunity to refute it. That's why I want Dennis and Richard to write their books.

David never missed a show that I went to and he was supposed to be there,I just asked anyone if they went to one that he didn't show up to and was supposed to. Otis said that David would jump onstage after he was out of the group. He wondered how he knew where they were going to be. That is not true. David kept in touch with Eddie,Dennis,Paul & Melvin.Who says that I go along with everything Mary wrote? What does the Supremes have to do with this subject? NOTHING. |

It wasn't just Otis who said he missed shows.Smokey said it, Berry said it, the man didn't show up for a show the Boss was at. He said himself he missed shows. And I don't buy the how many shows did you sse that he wasn't there. Compared to the membership on this board and how many actually saw David perform is minute in comparison to the number of shows the Temptations did. Just because you didn't see him miss a show doesn't mean he didn't miss them..........And the main thing is, why is Dennis a member of the Temptations if David didn't do something wrong? Stop trying to make a perfect individual out of a flawed one. There is no crime in being human. I don't love DAvid any less because of anything he ever did in life. Secondly, he has answered to a higher calling than me so I do not stand in judgement of him and none of us should either.

Even if I give you Otis is a liar, what about Smokey and Berry? And what about him saying he missed some shows because of his dispute with Motown. This becomes the same kind of story like the did you see Richard sing behind the curtain. Richard himself said he did. Is he lying as well? My point is that are many things we weren't privy to around this group no matter how much we think we know. I'd be curious to know if Cornelias Grant has ever been asked the questions about David and Richard.
