He has the right to tell his own story, incorporating his friends' stories, too, of course. But He should have focused on the musical development, for example. Or on his own life amidst the group. Basta!

I'm sure that would have sold like hot cakes!!!!! ;D ;D ;D And here we go! Does making money justify anything? Does making money and sales justify exposing people's most private affairs? I don't get it. And doesn't such an attitude tell all about a person's character?

Writing such a book about his friends is simply below the belt-line. Whether it made him money or not doesn't play a role. It is the fact that he did. I am sure there are plenty of us who would have loved to hear more about how one or the other song came into being, about what was going on in the studio, or so. I remember reading such posts.

I don't disagree with you.but a book like that would never have been published.................not without some of the dirt...........is it right.no.....and nobody was interested in what Otis did..............that has been made very clear around here.............but without his book and movie.....would we be here!..I think not!

Us not being here doesn't justify O's behavior either. It was simply unworhty of such a legendary group.

Us not being here doesn't justify O's behavior either. It was simply unworhty of such a legendary group. You think Melvin felt the same way? Is that why he never commented on the book? I wonder how Mamma Rose feels about the book & the movie? Think she still "loves" Otis? I wonder how she feels about the updated printing of Otis' book? Since Otis & Melvin were "partners",why didn't Melvin add anything to the book?

Why and what should Melvin have added to the book? I don't think it was his business to correct anything O had been saying or writing.

I know how he felt about the members,he really cared for them. He never was asked about the book, nor did he publicly back the book. Strange, don't you think?

No ... it was something ... I have to go over to royal palace and find out I forget ... But I know it was one of em ... And To the melvin commenting on the book I think what Eddie said was enough: DONNIE SIMPSON: Otis said Paul came to you ... EDDIE: Sure he did lots of times Donnie: After he did Eddie: what? Donnie: did you read the book? (otis's of course) Eddie: No, I felt no need to Donnie: You were a temptations it's about you why not? Eddie: THATS OTIS'S SIDE And that is what I am sticking to about Otis's book ... lol

I think that pretty much is what even the Otis lovers have said....and that's it was his side of the story..........Eddie said it and so did David.........David was going to tell his side and would you have believed him more just because it was David.........will you believe Richard more because he was Richard or will he be villified cause he said he sang behind the curtain for Paul and that makes the Paul Lovers mad.........so who you gonna believe......what if Otis comes out and says that RIchard's book is full of crap.............it becomes a merry go round and so why make one more credible than the other.................I strill say no one was beating down the internet for Temptations sites before the freakin movie.................what's the big deal........it got us here didn't it............
