I I never said he disrespected anyone on this board. I thought you were saying Otis never said an unkind work about any of "the guys" meaning the group. In that case, I guess I owe you a dollar because I've never heard him saying anything negative about fans

Mike, you forgot Glenn, Ron, Ali, Bo, Terry, Harry, Richard, Damon ...

I think O shot himself in the foot when he used his friends' stories, trying to keep the Temptations' ship from sinking. He's got a lot of attention, that's for sure, but not exactly in the way he had intended. (IMO ;D)

That all depends on what side of the water cooler you're standing on. Some don't see anything wrong with his actions. WE just don't share that vision

This "stuff" exsisted before the movie or book too. Maybe not so much as it is now. But thats just one more apple to the tree IMO. I never said he didn't have any talent. He is a good "business man, entertainer"
If he wasn't a good one, he wouldnt still be in that business now. The way I see it, he had connections, he was pretty much the ( for a lack of better term) one person who talked the talk and walked the walk. He is a born leader. The only way I know how to answer this is as follows:

Do you think Otis & Mel <~~ :inlove could have gotten that contract with Motown without Eddie or Paul? Absolutely not.
Do you think Eddie and Paul could have gotten that contract without Otis and Mel <~~ :inlove

I agree with both of your assessments. THey needed each other to make it work. They all had some talent in some area. Otis appeared to be the hustler in the group in terms of seeking out people to get a contract. We all know they wouldn't have gotten that contract with Motown without Eddie and Paul but would Eddie and & Paul have the ability to go in there and find Berry Gordy and do what ti takes to put their own gorup together.? That we don't know. So in my eyes they all needed each other for something. I'm very interested in what you say about Otis being a good businessnman/entertainer. You are not a fan of his, yet you think he does those two jobs well. You are one of the first I have heard on here say that. Most say he can't do anything at all.
