woohooo Nora..!! congrats!!!! I became a grammy 3 yrs ago.. ( course not the ideal situation) and I so love my little grandson.. being a grammy is great..you can spoil them..and then your kid gets really mad hehe pay back!!.. hahahahha.. I call mine.. *Grammy's* Little cookie boy"... It s soo cool being a grammy.. so much better then being a mom!

Hello, new members. It seems like there are quite a few. Why don't you tell us somthing about yourselves. We all want to know. Where you from? How'd you find us? Why do you like the tempts? When/How did you get into the tempts? I am from Detroit MI born and raised which I think answers question #4. I always love motown music especially the temptations any line up. I just went to their concert for the first time, and that's when i found this site. |

When/How did you get into the tempts?
I fell in love with the Tempts after seeing the mini series when I was in 6th grade, I started posting on the boards, and the rest is history!

Having my poem, "I Have A Dream" (no, not that one)
appear on Poetry.com's website and published in a book of poetry. Some people call it Poetry not com as they have a penchant for wanting you to buy their books and attend their conferences at the poet's expense. They also said that i had won awards for my poems. That's right, awards that i should pay for! So it's something good but bittersweet.
The following is my poem taken from Poetry.com's website:
"I Have A Dream"
Can you hear the cries of a billion children
Wailing for a future of no sorrow
A place that studies war no more
Where they can know there is a tomorrow
I have a dream of breaking the chains
Of hate that binds the heart
I have a dream that no radical factions
Will terrorize our world apart
Can you hear the downtrodden's hopeful song
Despising prejudice wherever it abides
They moan for a world of overdue justice
Where racism can never ever hide
Can you hear a race enslaved for centuries
Or those who lost six million strong
The cry of justice from our native ones
Or senior citizens that are treated so wrong
I have a dream that one day our leaders
Will respect all of God's creations
I have a dream that acknowledges one color
Of peace of love of united nations

I have a dream started out as a song. However, as I thought about the many races, it dawned on me that at one point in almost every race's history, there was an era of cruelty towards them. I tried to write to this end. With each beat of every heart the passions of a people are engraved. These words come from the depths of my heart.
