"Liberals hand out fish; conservatives teach how to fish...it's that simple. One set of policies provides immediate gratification with no long term benefits; the other provides a path for opportunity and self-determination." One more of them hackneyed slogans It sure is easy to teach someone to do something ... But it doesn't help much, if the students find no fish/jobs to catch in reality. Next slogan may be : "Where's the fish"? And sometimes real people need real food because their hunger is real! I think the fish are in the ocean! ...don't look back...

Hey ... Does anyone think that David would have eaten red clay with hot sauce, if he had a "liberal" serving of fish instead? :laughing :laughing :laughing

I think the fish are in the ocean! ...don't look back... Oh. I see. And of course, them guys have to walk there all by themselves, fishing rod in hand to get to catch one. ;D We'll have to teach them how to walk ... do not provide transportation, however. That makes weaklings out of them.

Let's make it easier...BrunnenG treats at the Red Lobster! ...don't look back... Oh Brunnen, honey! You mean even those who could not come up with their own fishing rods would get something to eat? Because, of course you cannot give the fishing rods to them people. That would make them dependent on hand-outs.

Next slogan may be : "Where's the fish"? And sometimes real people need real food because their hunger is real!"Vast, inaccurate generalizations don't refute a thing I've offered, Tabby. Give me something beyond opinion that I can work with. Do you honestly want to try to make the case that there are no jobs available for people who want to work? In the meantime, feel free to mull over the Labor Department's JOB SUMMARY released today.

Unfortunately, there are people who would love to work butr cannot find a job. And if you call my comments "vast generalizations," dare I say that your comments are stubborn denials of reality and repetitions of trite platitudes? Yes, thank goodness the job situation has somewhat improved. But that does not mean that everyone who wants to work actually has a job. Don't you try to sugar coat the sorry situation, please. And if we may believe the President himself, all he has to offer those out of a job is (even he admitted in the last debate that there are "involuntary jobless" men and women) that they should go back to school and get an education so they can compete in the job market of the 21st century -- then good night. Tell that a 53 year old factory worker. You think he has a chance, even with a master's degree to get hired somewhere? That is just not realistic. Fact is, you are trying to deny facts that even those in charge acknowledge.

I'm grateful someone was bold enough to lock it. Peach

Sure. The winner should have the right to curtail others right to free speech. Great country! Thank you that's all I needed to hear. Dissenters have to be silenced at any cost ...
