LOL ... Makes you wanna just eat a dougnut right now, don't it? WARNING:EATING LOW CARB DOUGHNUTS IS A RISK OF YOUR HEALTH, IT HAS BEEN PROVEN NOT ONLY DO THEY TASTE LIKE CARDBOARD, BUT THEY LEAVE PAPER-CUTS AS WELL.
USE LOW CARB DOUGNUTS ONLY UNDER CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION.If you break out in a rash, Do not induce vomiting, Call your local posion control center right away, or contact your physican.LOW CARB DOUGHNUTS ARE BROUGHT TO YOU BY: GEORGIA-PACIFIC PAPER SUPPLYS
I asked one of the managers at work what a low-carb doughnut was and he said... the box. Ivory, I saved that pic too when I had it as my avatar... it just show you just how good eclairs are... and like Bill Cosby said on one of his episodes... not a doughnut. The Land of Krispy Kreme seems to be turning toward Enronville.

Once again I ressurrect this thread. I haven't told you guys of the hell it's been working production there. Things were really being run into the ground and the general manager didn't care how the shop was behind daily, if things broke down (life-threateningly), or how she treated others with favoritism (so much as to help pay for a car for someone who she was going to make a manager while anyone else she'd say tough luck, find a ride or get fired). She said we were overstaffed and left three people to do the work of what took seven to do. She got people in arms when she posted a list of people who had overtime and cut half the list's hours. The county threatened to close the place and we failed one of the inspections.
Then one day I come to work, February 24, and find out she'd been fired and her regime came tumbling down. We're still without a GM but things have run spectacularly well now since she's been gone. As corporate is being restructured, it reaches as far down as our divisional manager who we like and now miss. We're under new management but it's not permanent yet. We've had managers from Va Beach and as far away as Alabama. Recently two from Memphis have been helping. However, even with all the positive changes, I'm still unhappy working there.
The same day the old GM was fired, I handed in an application to a collection agency, which I'd had had since October, but never finished. I saw and heard ads for them, plus a few people had left KK for them so I thought I'd give it a try. Four days later they contact me on one of my worst days where I almost quit. We play phone tag for a few days until I actually went to the building to schedule an interview. Had my first interview and it went well... especially since I found out I went to school with the human resources manager some 20 years ago (I am so old). The second today didn't seem to go as well with another person and I started to get depressed. However, I was hired! So bye bye KKK. Love the doughnuts but not the company. I start April 11.
My ship's sailing away from the Land of Krispy Kreme.
Oh and my aunt's birthday gift to me were coupons to Krispy Kreme! HAR HAR HAR...

Congrats Cadeho! I feel you on the KK thing. My first job 10 years ago was your competition, Dunkin Donuts. My advice, if its owned by Osama Bin Laden's people, don't eat there

Thank you! We got news today that corporate will be closing our warehouse's production. Others will either relocate, transfer, or leave altogether. Believe it or not, a lot of people are happy... almost like a sigh of relief while others are in shock. We're going to continue to be paid for two weeks after they close and those with unused vacation time will get another check for that time. Timing is great for me, we close April 10 and I start the new job the next day! So everyone's going to be leaving... I was "singing" today at work, "no more doughnuts in the fryer no more no more no more... they took my work for granted...."

Thanks Gua. Today was my last day! Everyone is so excited and happy... well maybe not everyone, but most of us! That place was like a sweatshop mixed with sharecropping mixed with whatever hell job in a Dickens novel. But all I have to say is... Krispy Kreme... we've come to the end, the end of our road!
