Peach, I would gladly trade my little bulging tummy for a nice bulging behind :laughing That's no lie! I have another terrible passion in addition to donuts and co. I love cashews, walnuts and dried fruits. There's a mix of all kinds of nuts and dried fruits called "Tropical Mix" that my husband brought home one day from shopping. He's still regretting that day ... same with the Temptations movie; he surprised me with that one too -- and ever since he has to watch me doing David/Leon. Elvis, see what happens, if you get addicted to one thing. Getting addicted to another one and another one and another one is the usual outcome :laughing

I love almonds.... smoked, salted..... however. And Trail Mix is pretty yummy, too! ;D ;D I buy stuff for Anna to take to school for snacks, and it ends up disappearing faster than it should because it's *my* snack, too! It's all about genes..... that's for sure. I always gain it where I sit! Peach

Last week, I was put back on 2nd shift. Our supervisor who was also put on 3rd with me and others quit when she saw she wasn't going back to 2nd shift with me. I wish she'd waited another week. But I am happy to be back, where they're not killing me all night. It's not perfect though, we do need more people... but things aren't looking so bright for us. Sales are way down... THANK YOU DR. ATKINS... and prices of our donuts went up 20-30ยข. Now no one's gonna buy any, paying $5 (rounding with tax) for a dozen of glaze. The local news here blames Atkins and the novelty of KK is gone. Maybe that's why they're gonna have new stuff coming up? I dunno... I just wish people would wake up and hire me. Got one more rejection letter today. I guess I should go back to school, but KK sure isn't enough to pay for it...

It has now been 1 year, 6 months, and 5 days. The place isn't like it used to be. Not only did they switch things around giving us tons more work to do with little people, not only do they treat me like a supervisor with no pay for all I do, not only is it really stressful, they TOOK AWAY THE MUSIC! From Winston-Salem, all Krispy Kremes will no longer have music. Something about it being counter-productive. :bs It is so depressing in the rumble of the machines. We loved the music and we danced and sang WHILE we worked. Music was a great thing.

LIttle people? Like midgets? And it's no doubt that they thought it was counter-productive with all of their employees stressing over songs they heard two words from trying to figure out the title. You know what i think, and you can just pass this along, Krispy Kreme needs to market more nostalgic stuff. I've seen their t-shirts and coffee mugs and they are a big yawn. They need to take advantage of the whole retro thing and come up with cute merchandising ideas. I bought some lip gloss in the shape and packaging of a Hostess Cupcake thing. It's adorable ............ and you know what else, I had to go out and buy some cupcakes after I bought the lip gloss! www.lottaluv.com/I need some earrings shaped like original glazed!

I'm with Coey. Music is anything but counterproductive. It makes you work faster and it puts you in a better mood.

Shhhhh Ivory.... THEY don't know that... I still have napkins with lyrics on them to research! At least it didn't make me forget how to pack doughnuts as I think corporate thinks. About nostalgia stuff... it's weird that our shop has many pics from the early days on the walls. There's got to be something they can do that's inspired by their roots and golden days. And "little people" means few people... SHHHHHHH! Again Ivory! We've hired the Oompa Loompas to sing and work.Coey, please don't boycott us... we'll be fine! Radios work; one supervisor brought one tonight. I want to hook up a discman to the PA... and jam to some Temptations! Yes Ed, many days it made the day go by much faster.

I eat, maybe, one all chocolate one a year. Never tried Krispy Kreme. To me, donuts taste like cooking oil. Does Krispy Kreme have maple donuts, by the way? A little pal of mine likes that flavor. Maybe it tastes like pancake syrup? ...it's growing...
