How about the fact that David was portrayed as having the s*** beat out of him and was thrown from a moving car bloodied and dead when he in fact died in a hospital and was personally taken there?!! Not too much away from the truth. He was brought to the hospital and left there. His chest looked like he was dragged from where he passed out. |

There is more to David's death than meets the eye, same as Paul's death!! This we know. It seems funny that the man that dropped David off at the hospital would go up to Otis and tell him that David missed working with him,as was reported in Billboard magazine around the time of David's passing. |

Sex, lies, and video tape. I still love the movie, it's drama, it's fun, the music is lovely, and I can deal with reality after the credits. Most people who watched the movie wanted to know more. If they really wanted more, they did some research and found it. Some just took it for what was, a movie about a group of men who wanted to make music, and did. Did it very well I might add. A girl on my job offered to take me to Temptations Anonymous, because I'm able to clear up misconceptions of what the movie left. She too, enjoyed the movie, likes the music I play at work, loves my screensaver with the pictures. They had issues, we all have issues, some worst by society standards, some, folk wink at. I love my Tempts, inspite of it all. Yes, Paul had a women on the side, and O went thru more marriages than any of them, he did his cheating too. Did they play this up in the movie, no but when they do Ms. Ross, or Ms. Taylor's story on the screen with their input, I'm sure there will be a lot of personal details left out, but a lot of those around who's problems will be made to look severe. It's human nature and hollywood. Let's admit the fact, we would much rather have the movie, than it never been made, with the input of at least one of the group. It would've been nice to have everyone's input, but that will never happen, so we rely on past articels, clips, family and friend to shed light on those gray, dim, and false areas.

My sentiments exactly, Crella...thank you for saying it! I love the movie, love to watch the movie, and the movie inspired me to want to know more and more and more, the real deal about the group....the deeper I dug the more I wanted to know. Without it, the Temptations would still be music I love, but that's it. And I wouldn't have met all the great people HERE either  . |

And I treat the Tempts and the Tempts movie the same way I treat the movie "The 10 Commandments." There are things in the movie that simply did not happen. A big thing of fire didn't come out of the sky to stop the Pharoah's soldiers while the Israelites were crossing the river and David Ruffin was not thrown out of a speeding car and onto the hospital curb. Why the director chose to put either of those scenes in their movies is a mystery to me. And, both movies have two fine bald headed guys in them. ;D   |

A big thing of fire didn't come out of the sky to stop the Pharoah's soldiers while the Israelites were crossing the river and David Ruffin was not thrown out of a speeding car and onto the hospital curb.
