Honestly, I think that Clay is a better singer. I think he's more versatile and has a better sound. I think Ruben is too plaintive. All his song sound the same to me. He does have a range and he does have a nice sound, but Ruben's voice ain't pulling no tricks and he's just not a good storyteller. His songs don't come to life for me. But that didn't stop me from voting for him.

As I mentioned before in this thread, this is a tough call for me. Both Ruben and Clay are wonderful singers and are really great guys. They both deserve to win this. In this business, it's so difficult to find such warm, generous, loving people who accept criticism with grace and dignity. Yet, both of them have taken the remarks, learned from them and polished up their acts. Whichever one wins... I can feel confident in knowing that the other one will still be very successful. People love them both. They already have a great fan base to begin their careers. Most pop stars would kill for that kind of popularity right now.

Tonight is gonna be scary....I really hope Ruben wins because I think to him it's more than just American Idol. He has the heart and the passion for what he's doing and it shows in his voice. Clay to me is more of a Broadway type guy. He doesn't knock you out like Ruben does. He's stayed constant from the begining and has been a true soldier. Plus, America needs something different that the typical white blonde boy/girl. Let us have some soul and realness. But sadly what usually happens is people dont take the time to vote and then fuss afterwards about what happened. But I guess we'll see tonight....  |

They say the votes were very close. Out of 24 million votes there were 1300 separating the two. And they've just crowned the winner!!  |

There's no leftover money from Clarkson's CD. If what I heard Wednesday night was any indication, there's no way I'd buy anything of hers. She was awful.  601 loves 205! :laughing: I think it's the late-night delirium talking.... |

I finished two weeks ago Saturday. School was all right. First year reminded me of high school really. The classes seem to be more difficult first semester. I suppose I got acclimated and relaxed a little bit. I'm still undecided although I did declare psychology to be my major (I don't think I like that particular major).
I had a 3.56 GPA first semester, which was just good enough to earn me a spot in the freshman honor society, Alpha Lambda Delta, but I haven't gotten second semester's grades back yet. They can't put me out even if I don't still have a 3.5. That $60 bought me a lifetime membership. :laughing: I'm hoping my grades will be here before I leave again Tuesday. I want to see them first, then I'll let my mother see them. I had a 4.0 for second semester at midterm. I still only need 3 Bs and 3 As to maintain my 3.5 GPA. That'll be good enough this time around, I suppose.
