Hussein is another Hitler
That analogy doesn't wash. Hussein is not commiting genocide against millions of people, if he was I would drive Kiki to Kuwait myself. He DID attack the Kurds with chemical weapons in the past, but they have been under the protection of ........... oh, what's the name of that organization, oh yeah, the UN, since the end of the last Gulf War. Under the protection of the UN? Wow, they must feel so....heh heh...safe. No, Hussein isn't presently committing genocide... but absolute power goes hand in hand with his evil. And, maybe we're talking degrees here. And what can he get away with today? Times have changed...technology has changed. Even so, I have read many accounts of the carnage..... the numbers are smaller, but the acts, just as evil. And when did we find out about these millions killed during WW2? My family fled Germany before the genocide... *we* knew it was coming. The climate of the country was changing. Did America know? Do Iraqis know? I think the footage of the Iraqis tearing down Saddam's poster today... that was telling. Maybe they know something we don't. Peach

The article I spoke of in regards to the UN situation in an earlier post can be found in the March 24, 2003 issue of Time Magazine. Their record in crisis situations is much less than stellar.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ABA! 3000 POSTS! AND GOOD POSTS THEY ARE TOO! we have funded the u.n. and yet we get turned away from them quite a bit. the headquarters is in nyc but it's considered neutral international territory. so if people say to you that we manipulate the u.n, it's obvious we have gotten a low return on our $$$ billions ! when moammar ghaddaffi is the head of the peace organization, it's like putting adolf hitler in charge of protecting jews, or kkk in charge of black welfare! the definition of hypocrisy to me is- to protest against the war by being violent and destructive for ''peace''; to protest against possible loss of life in the war, yet a large % of the same folks are pro abortion! HELLO!!!

Aba, you run your fingers... ;D I doubt very seriously that anyone is pro-ABORTION. Are you sure that those people aren't just being supportive of the right to choose? But I digress...

i edit my first letter of the first word!!!
right to choose is a p/c frosting of abortion. with God the Creator of life there is another closely spelled word- adoption-or even abstention.
but i digress!
the only one talking 'bout love thy brother is the preacher and it seems nobody's interested in learning -but the teacher...
