Anyone else tired of hearing about the"leastern conference?" I agree with the others bout the Lakers. Analysists say whomever wins the west will be the champs, and before this season most of the nation was pickin the Lakers way before the playoffs began. Everything is too lopsided now, and the centers are 99% role players. I'm still into the NBA but not as much! 4-)

Oooo wooh!!! Philly, Philly, Philly. Boston got massacred! (Haha, like my little joke there? Ok, don't answer that). Anyways, the Sixers looked and played very well tonight rebound after rebound. And to think, they were once down! Boston's defense wasn't too great. game hasn't officially ended yet, but it's over. 76ers are getting closer to the top! Well, it's almost time for the showdown.

Why must everyone who doesn't like the Lakers be jealous? Personally, all the Lakers have shown me this season is that they need Shaq to be consistent with wins. That's not a championship team. That's a championship player and his backups. I don't have anything against Shaq really; I can't stand Kobe, but I tolerate the Diesel. Anyway, those Hoover-ing commentators (and fans) should tell the truth all the time. Just say, the champions Shaq and Kobe instead of champion Lakers. I mean, you'd believe they put those people on the payroll just to kiss Laker behind all the time.

Hey, when you mess with the Kings you mess with me!!!
Even though Shaq talks way too much junk, I'm starting to like him. Because I'm starting to realize just how much he does for that team. He IS the team! Without him, look at how far they went! Not very far at all.
Kobe is a good player, I don't know how he does it, but for some reason I don't care for him. Not that I can't stand him, but I don't care too much for him. And when he's talking to reporters and whatever, he seems like such a humble player (most of the time). Compared to Shaq he's an angel. But I dunno, I think it started year before last when they meet Philly in the Finals and everyone was comparing him to Michael Jordan, and back then he was a little cockier...

when a team is so successful for so long , fans of other teams get what psychiatrists call the ny yankee syndrome. the yankees are america's all time winningest franchise. in the last 100 yrs of existence they have been in the playoffs 36 times, and in the world series 33 times! they've won 23 world series!
the lakers fans used to hate the celtics- the celtics won 10 straight yrs- and also won 4 times in the 70's and 3 times in the 80's.
now the lakers have shaq and kobe- but they scored 66 points! well, the team scored 117! the other guys contributed 51 points! 2 guys can't make the team win- they sure contribute mightily but the game was won by fisher, horry, george, pargo, madsen, fox. without these guys the lakers wouldn't be anywhere.
3 time champions that had a horrible start to the year should be appaluded for coming back so far. when the lakers were 11-19, they were in last place in their division. the clippers were ahead of them! since then, they've gone 37-12! beating-mavs, suns, blazers, rockets, celts, sixers, pistons, jazz, pacers, wolves, kings. these are all playoff teams .
hate kobe and shaq and the lakers. i admire talent. that's why we're here as temptations fans. the best group bon the planet. with a great supporting cast.
don't worry- the kings will be there battling. it 's not over yet!

remember , when a team wins the title, the other teams trade, draft, and retool to try to knock the champs off the throne. they play ever harder to beat the champs and to be the ones to knock them off. the amazing thing is that the lakers are older, more injured, getting more competition from up and coming teams like dallas and sacramento who want to replace l.a. as king of the hill. and yet the lakers still win!
i think only san antonio has a chance to beat l.a. for some reason, l.a. doesn't match up well with the spurs. but in the playoffs, lakers have crushed the spurs in the past.

Oh Sukka, don't worry, I know Kings will be battling it out. It's just a question of rather or not they'll step up high enough to meet the challenge. And I know Lakers have talent. But the only reason they were playing sorry earlier this year is because they didn't have Shaq. So applaud Shaquille O'Neal for being the savior of that team. Once he gets going, the others fall in. Lakers must be good, I use them as a ruler to measure other teams by. I think you're something serious if you can beat the Lakers. Well, if you can beat the champs, period! But I'm ready to see the Kings go somewhere. They're a good team and I think they're capable of it. So I'm backin' them 100%, win or lose. Champions or not, they're still my Kings. Oh yeah, I think that there's a chance San Antonio can beat the Lakers too. They've been doing great this year, why not?

So... that wasn't you that dogged the other players at another point in this same discussion (not necessarily this exact thread)? It was somebody around here. Maybe Aba.
Yup, earthangel, we should applaud Shaq for bringing them back.
What supporting cast? They were the entire cast. Or did you mean the musicians and the people behind them with the money?

well, without those 2 (espn and sports illustrated have named kobe and shaq to the all nba first team of the top 5 players.) the lakers would be---the clippers!
