i kept thinking about cadeho when i was at big bear lake with elise. it snowed and all the evergreen trees in the mountains were tall and beautiful with the snow covered branches and the car was covered with snow and the world was pillowy white. it was a lovely sight. the ski slopes were nice to behold and although we didn't ski, it was fun to be around the area. i like the idea of GOING to winter on your terms instead of being subject to winter on its terms. you folks on the east and south have no real mountains to speak of like us weterners and we were up at the 8,000 foot level at 1:30 pm with temp.at 52 and the sun shining ans snow on the slopes - at 2:30 we were at sea level with the temp. at 79 degrees and rows of 100 foot palm trees lining the freeways.
that's winter to me! ;D

Cadeho I was in the 93 and 96 blizzards as well as the 78 Blizzard and I enjoyed all of them. I just got back from NY from the last snow storm and it's so much easier to negotiate in the snow now with SUVs that I find it no problem. I love snow. So you are not alone. I will be with you...........you know what I mean!!!!!!! ;D

The next time we have a blizzard here... why don't you all come over and we can be snowbound and have a Tempts party?! Actually... let's do it at Ivory's... she seems to have a better chance of snow.

Glad you're enjoying it Cadeho! I, for one, am TIRED of cold weather. Usually in Charlotte we have temperatures in the 60's by now. Daffodils, Jonquils, Bradford Pear trees and Cherry trees blooming. Right now the only thing we have are tree limbs hanging and broken due to the ice storms; cold freezing rain. Rain soaked ground, pot holes that can swallow a 73 El Dog. Bring on SPRING!

I hear potholes are developing as fast as the storm systems coming through. Wow 60's now? Double wow! I don't think we start getting average highs in the 60's here until like late March/early April. I'll accept spring when it comes and it's time for spring... but keep the pollen, bugs, and severe thunderstorms though. I am happy we has an active winter and we better not still be in a drought!
