There's also a shortage of snow and higher temps than normal in Alaska...

it never rains in california but it pours, man it pours! soaking today! mikey, we have 300+ days of sunshine. seattle has 200 days of rain. We need some of that rain here, in Colorado!!!! We're in the middle of such a horrible drought.... and I miss rain!! I remember having fantastic thunderstorms in June...I loved the way the air smelled and how cool it would get. We had such a hot, merciless summer last year that I'm wanting some relief. We've been getting flurries off and on this week--and the mountains are getting some good snow finally--but it's too little too late. Peach

No thanks Laura... keep the freezing rain... I only like snow. The other day as I shoveled the front, I heard that distinctive crunch that ONLY snow makes. I wish we had more.
