Ok, random thoughts.............. who agrees with me that we should adopt "O Canada" as OUR national anthem? I've always thought that was such a pretty song and it's so much easier to sing.
Is Vince Carter smoking crack?!!! .......... He didn't want to rob the fans of the JOY of seeing him in the starting line up instead of Jordan? .............. I mean, sure, we'll have to wait a year or two for Michael to come back out of retirement and play again, but it would be nice to see him get the tribute he deserves.
The uni's are boring. They look like the original Dream Team uni's.

What's up Ivory? Mike did start last year, so what's the big deal? People should just be happy He's there! I see what u mean about the uni's. The "NBA" does look like the "USA" from 92. I am GLAD they went to the late 80's uni's, cuz I got tired of the players wearin there OWN jerseys in the AS game!! Leave that for MLB!! I did go up to ATL for the weekend and attended the Jam Session, it's like a big indoor fair, but all NBA based, except for the cards, and collectors items. I like the AS game but, the downside is the subsitutions and who's guarding who!

I was so happy to hear Ball Of Confusion over one of the breaks. ;D. My two favorite things: the NBA and the Tempts. Lots of palyers played well tonight, McGrady, Iverson, Bryant, O'Neal, Payton, Garnett, and others. uh ooh! Tie game! Come on east! I wasn't too happy with Jordan's 2nd return, so I'm hopin' this is it (Ivory ;D). But I do believe he is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. And I think that last possession of Jordan's before the overtime was a sentimental thing. It would have been a dramatic finish for Jordan though, which is why I think he was given the chance. I think the ball would have have a better chance of making it had it been in McGrady's hands.

Well, like he said, he's started in 13 of 14 AS games, but still he's MICHAEL FRICKIN' JORDAN for crying out loud! He should be a starter automatically! And that was TOO sad when he missed that shot at the buzzer (or just before) I hate it when things don't have a Hollywood ending. And I'm just glad they didn't get TOO authentic with the throw-back unis. I think if I had to look at Shaq in some teeny-weeny shorts I'd have to poke my eyes out!

Shaq's big ol' butt in some dukes?!! ;D Man, I can't believe what Jermaine O'Neal just did. I feel like going over to Atlanta and whoopin' his behind. Thank Jesus Kobe just missed his second free throw. I can hardly breathe, lol..... I don't like this at all.

See this is why I love basketball. Keeps ya on the edge of your seat. And ya never know which way things are gonna go. Its scary but when your team wins it feels soooo good! Now we're going into double overtime (Most likely). Why do they do this to me? IRLM, dito

And this is exactly why I (love to ) HATE basketball! If this was a football game, Michael coulda just kicked a field goal and everybody could have gone home!

And I am VERY impressed with Kevin Garnett giving props. in his MVP speech to Stephon Marbury just now after the falling-out they've had. Let's hope they had time to make up in the locker room. www.startribune.com/stories/511/3563916.html

People... This is what the NBA has become... Entertainment. Entertainment so compelling, I was engrossed in the Richard Pryor story, plus the 2002 World Poker Open in MS. I've seen more intensity in pickup games among third-graders. Which is fine, this is an All-Star game and no one should get hurt. But it has become a three day party, with themes and shows and flash and glitter. Back to the Nick Nolte story! ;D
