Kalisa and the Tempts, Modesto, CA 5/10/03

Even as I type this, our Kalisa is on her way to her very first Tempts concert. Of course she thinks she's been to MANY Tempts concerts, but in reality, this is her first LEGAL one. ;D

Anyway, this is a big event. One I SWORE would never come. Can't wait to hear what she says.......... so I'm just sitting here............ tapping my fingers..........

Update............. she's had an encounter! Kalisa spied everyone's favorite first tenor (besides Curet of course) Ron Tyson standing across the street and introduced herself. She and Mr. Kalisa are about to participate in the VIP dinner in honor of Mother's Day. The show is supposed to start at around 9:30 pac. time.

LOL, well I did know they were very cool suits but at 2 a.m. couldn't think of the right cool. :laughing:

Now, this is a direct quote, and NO, Mr.K2 is not a marionette ala Charley McCarthy..."Dennis and David Sea have better voices than their leads". That was his honest opinion, and the only slightly negative one he had, he enjoyed the show a lot (as did I). One man's opinion, don't shoot him! He liked the somewhat more polished production, though I have a sense that we did not get the very best they have to offer last nite.

Still and all, an excellent and very entertaining show. You know I was right up there stage front the whole time, dancing and singing along! Think I even got some Bo-sweat on my outfit :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

I've been waiting all week to hear your review, Kalisa! And it makes me excited for tonight. (Unfortunately, we woke up to SNOW here in Colorado. Snow in May. What is this world coming to? I'll be driving in snow. )

Anyway.....sounds like you two had a great time. Happy Mother's Day! ;D

You drive carefully, Peach!!! What IS the weather doing this year? Poured rain here yesterday, and it is MAY, so April showers are a tad late . The thought of driving in snow kept me away from Reno last week (where Otis's group was performing). Even if I'm not the one at the wheel, I don't do snow driving if possible (memories of a ski-trip inside a TAXI in NYC keep coming back LOL!).

You and Anna are in for a real treat and that's no lie! If you can collect some, I'll trade ya David Sea sweat for Bo's LOL!

...and I just have to say it, no matter what...off nite or not, short show or not, we KNEW we were seeing The Temptations, and the music just doesn't get any better than that!! (I feel the same way at a Review show folks...both groups are the REAL DEAL in my book).

We've been getting so much moisture here, too....but it's like God is *finally* blessing us because we really needed it. ;D I don't like driving in snow, but apparently Pueblo isn't getting the same weather as we are.....so we'll drive out of it eventually.

Like I said, we're in the front row....now I don't know what that means in the Events Center, if we have 10 feet between us and the stage or what, but I'll have my vials out for collection.

Anna's suitcase is packed to overflowing, like we're going away for a week or something.

Well it seem Mr. & Mrs. Kalisa enjoyed themselves last night. And they came home with objective opinions about the two main Temps groups. I am very happy you had a great time. That's why you go to the shows. So my next question is would you do it again? ;D

You can't shoot someone for telling the truth! The Review DOES have better lead voices! Trust me K2,he won't be shot. He's a very smart man! it does prove that you CAN stomach otis' group and come away without indigestion! but i'd rather come away with what you saw than my 3.5 show!

i am going to go to the humphrey's show in july and i will see them and the tops and the ojays and the whispers. it should be fun to see theo again at least!
