Yes, Peach...at one show, and one show only (of the two that night in NYC), Chris sang "Can I" or part of it, during the Tribute portion. That's the only time I've heard the Tribute done that way, usually Dennis sings "Try to Remember" and names the guys who have passed. Did David by any chance do "You'll Lose A Precious Love" Did he do "I wish It would Rain"?

Oh, and a little birdie (named DavidSeaFan for good reason) wants to know if David sang "Beauty is Only Skin Deep"??

Glad to hear Dennis was looking and sounding good. Does that mean he's lost some weight? Not making fun - just want to see him at a healthier weight at this stage of his life. I LOVE Dennis' voice and want to be able to hear him for many years to come.

the great thing about concerts is you may not remember everything but you definitely remember the way it made you feel all over! :dancing:

You got that right, sukka!
I've been going crazy, one of the songs Friday nite Terry and Bo were flat out SANGIN it at the end, really going for it off each other...and guess what? It was my favorite part of the whole show. And guess what? I can't remember what song it was LOLOL!! But it was one of those moments I live for at a live concert...

I LOVE Dennis' voice and want to be able to hear him for many years to come. He has lost weight.... consider they were wearing all white, and you know what that does. Like I said, when I saw the Rhythm, Love and Soul show, I thought his face looked so puffy.... it didn't even look like Dennis! But at this show.....it was Dennis!!! :-) Maybe because I saw him in person....and I *do* love that smile. YES! They did do "Beauty's Only Skin Deep!!" And "I Wish It Would Rain!!!" (That was *incredible*....) But not "You'll Lose A Precious Love" and no "Try to Remember." Dennis didn't get as many of the leads... he was standing in the "four-some" as often as he was standing at the "lead microphone." (If that makes sense.) I realized that we didn't get to hear that many of his "lead songs." Hardly any from that period from 1968 to 1971. Oh...... it's Chris that sings "You're My Everything," right? I love my Eddie, but he really did a fantastic job on it!!! It IS hard to keep your eyes off of David, I must admit. And Dennis, too..... always trying to catch his eye and see that smile. Peach

Dennis DID do a Tribute, right? Oh I don't even need to ask, he even did it on PBS! I'm surprised he didn't sing a little snippet of "Try to Remember", though. YES, "You're my everything"!!!..Chris really does a good job on that, with David of course adding immensely! I'm so glad they've added it to the show and kept it there! From what I've seen & heard, its and either/or situation on "Rain" and "Precious Love" . David tears up Rain... And likewise on Precious Love!! . I don't suppose he jumped on any speakers during Rain?

tdallas and Peach...I know exactly what you mean about Dennis and the weight. I was so happy to see him looking slimmer in NYC than I had seen him for a while. When I saw him in June of 2001, he was looking like that wonderful Dennis back in the day...really had slimmed down. Two weeks later, he was starting on the uptrend :crying: and it showed in his face first. I too want him around for many many more years of singing and good health! I'm glad to hear he's doing the right thing for himself!!!

Kalisa, I don't know when these pics were taken from this page: www.members.tripod.com/detroit_motown_soul/detroit-soul/id4.htmlBut Dennis is *much* slimmer than these.... You know how he looks sort of barrel chested in those photos? That whole look is gone........ Also, what do those pins say they wear on their jackets? They wore them on the PBS special and they wore them the other night..... does anyone know? David didn't jump on the speaker, but he was amazing just the same. Like I said, I'm a David Sea convert now! Peach

The pins say "I (heartsymbol) Jesus". . They don't go onstage without them.

Yes, you do, Selfish. They'll be at Westbury August 2nd. Mike might know of other NYC or close enough shows, but as of right now I don't see any before then other than one in Albany that looks like it could be private. You'll be entertained, no question about it!

i wonder why dennis and the review chose to ignore 20 million people in southern california and not do a single show ! is he that booked in scooppoop arkansas indian casino or something? i tried last yr and cancelled i got! you can talk all you want about the review and how wonderful, but if they don't come to the land of entertainment- and not even vegas- then i don't want them to think i'm driving 5 feet to see them anywhere else! at least otis' group digs cali!
