Awwwwwwww!! That looks like my Lils! They could be brother and sister!!! I think white cats are innately more "sissy" and prissy....I think they know that white coats get dirty easier, so they are constantly preening and licking and doing all sorts of maintenance.
She is a great cat....with one flaw. She eats everything. She at the entire string of a yo-yo once. A mesh bag used to carry marbles in. A neon glow bracelet. (The taste of that one stopped her early.) The plastic hair of Anna's Betty Spaghetti dolls. The feet and hands of her Barbies......
She has 109 lives.

I have no idea what my name means, but it's very normal (Erica). And I'm going to tell y'all what my niece's mother had the audacity to name her: Te'Kyeira Christina Sha'Quanna. Her mother's name is LaKwanda but she goes by Quanna. We call the baby Christina.

I had Christina and Sha'Quanna down fine, but Te'Kyiera keeps giving me problems. I just spelled it wrong in my previous post. I keep her picture in my wallet, and her mother wrote it all down on the back, so that's my reference. It's supposed to be pronounced ta-kair-ah (or -uh). But like I said, her name is Christina. ;D

You know it's bad when the grandmama can't pronounce the child's name. I met a baby like that one time. Poor thing.

Well, I named my daughter Caria, which was after a school friend of mine whose name I adored....and it seemed pretty straightforward to me at the time. For some reason nobody can pronounce it...she has been called things sounding like Korea or CARRY-ah or carry-AH all her life. Nobody seems to manage to get it right the first (five) run-throughs. Guess I could have spelled it Karya (accent first syllable), which is the closest spelling I can come up with for the time being. She used to get upset, but now she loves having an unusual name and knows all the history of Caria (which is a region of Turkey) and will gladly expound if one diegns to mis-pronounce it .

My name is Mariela Diane and since people will tend to call me "Mary Ella", I go by my middle name. In Greece, people call me by my first name.
Boys names are hard for me. For girls, I like the names "Eva", "Linda", "Rosalinda", "Merope", "Catalina", mostly names with Greek or Hispanic roots. I still haven't thought about what to name a boy.
