You know what's hard, dbaby? Is being so careful about what we say as to not offend because there are so many *sensitive* people, you know? I mean, I know what's in my heart... :inlove: and sometimes I'll say things in jest and beat myself up about it. Like once I was complaining about the book selection at our local library and I made some smart aleck comment about how it's "stocked by a bunch of little ol' white ladies." About 10 minutes after saying that, I beat myself up over it.... even though I meant no harm by it, I was so worried about being misconstrued. Know what I mean?

Drama, I feel you about insects - and I'm not too crazy about feathers either (for some reason they remind me of insects and my skin crawls if one touches me..... ). Ivory, I've been stung by a wasp and that ain't no joke - I give them and bees a very wide berth...in fact I'll even leave the premises....... ;D DBaby, that's cool, I thought it was kinda cute myself.......  |

Let's see...I'm mixed with black and white...this is littlle known because most people say I look like a light-skinned black girl I broke my arm on both sides when I was 10(I was sitting on a bicycle) Mind you not riding, but SITTING I don't have a thyroid..mine was overactive and I had to get it removed I could have skipped the 7th grade, but I was only 10 years old so momma thought I was too young I grew up without a father and my mother was on drugs for the majority of my teenage years. (Guess I came out okay huh?) My favorite subject is English I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and since I was a number 6 on my line, that has become my lucky number. I absolutley love talking to you guys and responding to threads. This forum is wonderful and whoever made it up or organized it or whatever is the greatest!!!! My teeth aren't fully grown I guess that's it for now....i may be back later |

I was just in the word association thread and I just thought of something. I used to have to take speech class in elementary school. I had a lisp and trouble pronouncing "ch" and "th" words. At the time I was embarrased, but now I'm happy I got rid of that lisp and know how to speak correctly.

zetalady- i am very very proud of you! you are a special young lady- very intelligent and blessed by God! it is an honor to be associated with you on this board. i am very impressed with the high quality young people we have- my angel niece(earth angel), my southern niece(iratherlikeme),my niece baby(dbaby), dnice, livesey, and others, all range from 15 -19. what a great young crew! i am uncle sukka to some. it is so cool to hear inspirational stories like yours.  |
