Thanks Kim. I remember that car crash story from O's book. It's funny to think of them being 27, YOUNGER than me since in my brain they are all just kind of permanently mid to late 30s. I don't know why that is.
I love how the girl (?) writing the letter called Melvin "the man himself."

Thanks, Kim...these are great!! I'd put the second article, about the accident, in 1966, doing my higher math and adding 27 to 1939 birthdates .

The fan said that the show was too short I'm wondering was it because it was a short set of only a few songs or was it because the fan was having such a good time that time flew by too fast.

Well, EVERY show I've ever been too was to short, so that might have been the case but this was also around the time when David was about to leave the group so that could have been a factor. Could have also explained his alleged bad attitude.

Could have also explained his alleged bad attitude. Back then, the shows were not that long,it had nothing to do with David. It could be something that Martha refered to in HER book. Great articles,Kim.

I take it that it actually was then a short set. I wonder actually how many songs were they singing back then. About thirty minuets worth. You must remember that they did five and six shows a day. That's why you should listen to Dennis audio interview.
