A friend of mine and I were talking today and we both want to know what millions is Bo Henderson talking bout? Did he think that the rumors of his demise in the group for so long were greatly exaggerated? Did he look at the fine print? How can these people sign comtracts and not know what in them?

Not to dicredit either side, but these people know what's going on. Bo knows what he is owed. whether or not it be millions, he knows. when you sue you gotts go high. Now, this isn't the first time we've heard people say the moeny was funny when it come to Otis. But I also have a hard time believing somebody like Ron might stay around in this new era if the money wasn't there. so it's is really hard to say what's going on.

The reality is, fame and fortune isn't waiting patiently for these guys to leave the group (it hasn't for anyone before them, they're not any different.) Ron's staying his butt in the group 'cause he's smart.
As for thousands vs. millions Hype, I know what you mean, an attorney is going to go after as much as he can (as well he should) but I'm not buying that Bo is owed millions and millions. There's just no way.
Did you see the TLC episode of "Behind the Music." Left Eye broke it down how they, after having cut a multi-platinum selling album, had to declare bankruptcy. After everyone and their mama got their cut of the albums sales, the girls were left with something like a hundred thousand dollars a piece. Now, TLC sold way more albums than Bo ever did, so that's why I find it hard to believe that Bo deserves MILLIONS.

Wouldn't we do the same?Nope There's other folks who have been in the same situation, got the same raw deal you could say. Did they sue? Nope. Because they know how things roll. Like I said, Bo knew what he was involved in. He can't cry foul now 'cause of how things played out. They knew how things roll? Or maybe they didn't have the cajones? (sp?) So Bo knew he wasn't going to get Social Security paid into while he was in the Temptations? How did he know that? Peach

No it's definately not a question of cojones, trust me. But you just don't walk into someone's house and tell them to rearrange the furniture, even if you bought them the couch. (how you like that analogy?)
I've worked in a small company like that before and it's the employee's responsiblity just as much as the employers to make sure things are done properly.

If you shoot high at first and a settlement comes your way, it's going to be way lower than for what you originally asked. If he asked for millions, he'll probably end up with thousands (if he gets anything at all). Why start low in the first place? I say go for about as much as you think you can get and then hike it up some.
They tell me Malcolm X never had got insurance because he was sure the Nation of Islam would take care of his family if anything happened to him. Sometimes, stuff like that seems small and slightly insignificant when you don't see the end approaching in the near future. And it hasn't been that long since Bo was fired; he had to come up with a case before bringing forth an actual suit. You can't just sue and not have anything to sustain your case.

But it wasn't like Bo was the first one to be fired from the group and he CERTAINLY wasn't the first one to be fired while he was there.

"O has yet to lose one of these cases. He's got too much experience and money on his side. I doubt he'll lose a case any time in the future."*BO_DA playing Devil's Advocate* Maybe O's (legal) luck has run out... Isn't it about time the tables turned on da big O? It isn't unusual for a person in this business to not be responsible for maintaining their Social Security Taxes, as well as some other things. ie: When one is being "assurred" things are being taken care of, and that certain papers/statements or *proof* are forthcoming. It happens all the time, especially when there is an *organization* involved. I agree there are issues here that WE are NOT all privvy to, however because he is/was privvy to those issues....BO most definitely has the right to seek what he feels he's got coming to him. I'm sure O feels the same way each time he initiates a law suit. Hmmm... BTW....I wonder if the AC shows will still offer 4 Tempts for da price of 5?

I'll let You know about the show in A.C. Since it's only 35 min. away, I was going to go to see how the newer members compare to "The Classic Five". I prefer The Originals, but have never seen the new ones! I'll call the box office in the A.M. BTW, Feb.14,2004, The Temptations Revue with Dennis Edwards, Ollie Woodson, & Barrington Henderson will open in Baltimore.

Seems like more and more ex members are saying the same thing. Are they gonna use the drug,or the ego angle to explain this one? I admire Bo for taking a stand!

I am not knocking Otis or anyone else, however, BUSINESS is BUSINESS as Otis well knows. If Otis and Shelly scammed Bo out of royalties and these other allegations, Bo has a perfect right to sue. I don't blame him and as far as OTIS always being right -- I don't think so. Otis is not always right contrary to popular belief. He knows the "game" but he ain't always right and it is about time that somebody handled their BUSINESS. Yeah Ivory, it is a FIRST TIME for EVERYTHING. Otis should be getting ready to retire, Bo's whole future and career are ahead of him and I do not blame him if these allegations are true for what he is doing. Our company lawyer made a statement at an all staff meeting here the other week and he was talking to the managers and I quote:
"Please read the LABOR RELATIONS LAWS and the UNION CONTRACT -- people are leaving here who feel they were treated unjustly and suing and guess what - they are WINNING".... Needless to say, quite a few managers have gotten fired and those that knew they were 'dirty' have quit. Peace - I'm out...
