Aba, I have no doubt that as long as he's able that Ron would continue to perform with his own group of Temptations. Whether or not it's sanctioned by Motown is what I'm unsure of. I think if Otis was alive and just unable to perform then yeah, probably, but if we're talking about him being deceased, then I'd be surprised. Of course all of this is assuming that Ron is still in the group at the time. Don't misunderstand me, I don't wish Ron ill, but these are the Tempts, we can't count on ANY of them still being in the group tomorrow. Again, I'm speaking in general here, but I can't help but wonder if the Apostle Paul didn't write 1 Corinthians 10:12 with the Tempts in mind, "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall." (ha ha) Even more ironic, the verse that follows that...... "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." ron will never be known for my girl, ........ terry will never be known for get ready, Well, since they don't sing lead on those songs, let's hope not! ;D

Suk you could ask what other group besides them has had one? I mean what group that has been around as long as they have? I don't think anybody disputes they have lived off their fame but they are still a force in the business or else they wouldn't be in demand. That again goes to airplay and we've been down that road too many times. Beside pop music is not R&B. Our music has to make it on the pop chart to be considered successful but your music is not bound and determined by R&B. I don't mean anything personal by yours and mine but you get my drift. That's what I mean. We are working under a different set of rules than we did in the past. Where is the market for what they do today?

the market for what they do today is pretty wacky. but if you look at the top 10 billboard singles chart- it's pretty much black artists dominating it.

Young black artists suk....they won't play their music on the radio. They had to submit "I'm Here" with out an artist name on it and ask the DJs to play it as unknown artist and have the audience guess. Nobody guessed Temps. if they have to do that ot get their music played they have no shot. People loved the song but would not believe it was the Temps.

They had six in the top 40 after Masterpiece,Power charted higher than Treat Her Like A Lady ! I thought "Power" charted at #11 R&B and that "Treat Her Like A Lady" charted at #2 R&B.

I just assumed he meant the Pop charts instead of the R&B charts. But I could be wrong! (I'm used to it.) 1$-) Peach
