Hey Temptsinfo Family
Our concert dates for 2004 have been fulfilled. We truly appreciate those who made it to at least one show in 2004 and to those who had a mind to attend but could not due to certain circumstances. It really means alot to us that you take time out of your schedule to attend these shows.
Earl Lewis & The Channels (along with Curet30) would like to extend a Safe Holiday Season and a Healthy New Year to all our fans and their families across the country.
Just a quick recap for 2004 we hope you enjoy:
o CELEBRATE:
Jack Brown celebrates 35 years with Earl Lewis & The Channels
o WARDROBE MALFUNCTION:
A lead singer from another group has to borrow Joe Rivera's jacket. The lead singer had placed his garment bag over an open light bulb. The light bulb burned through his garment bag and burned his jacket as well.
o JUST IN TIME:
Deacon Joseph Rivera had to get up very early after a performance in Washington, DC and drive up I-95 back to NYC. He just made it in time for the 11:00am Easter (Resurrection Sunday) Services.
o FILL IN:
The Sheps' Tommy Lockhart made a few appearances as a Channel over the summer while several Channels were on vacation.
o WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET YOUR DATES WRONG:
Channel keyboardist David Camacho got lost in New Jersey. Apparently he had looked at a concert date for the following week in a different New Jersey town with the same street... Main Street.
o HUSTLING ON THE SIDE:
Joe Rivera made out like a bandit when he sold candy for Joe, Jr. Artists like Shirley Alston Reeves, her backup singers as well as Vito Picone and his Elegants cleaned Joe out. I guess the caterer showing up late helped out a bit - everyone was famished by the time the caterer showed up... minutes before show time.
Best Holiday Wishes,
