No team in baseball history has ever lead a 7 game series 3-0 and lost. If the Yankees lose tonight they will go down in history as the biggest choke team of all time. I say that as the biggest Yankee fan you will ever know. I have heard every inning or seen every inning of this series and I said after the Yankees were up 3-0 that the hardest one to get was the last one and they are sure making me right. Curt Schilling pitched great ;last night and should be applauded but David Ortiz is the man for the Sox. I hate the Red Sox and the Cowboys period. My Yankees must win tonight.
There is nothing wrong with Tony Clark. He hit 16 home runs for the Yankees this year and he plays a great first base. What about the 2-5 batters who were knocking the cover off the ball the first 3 games but have gone to sleep since except Bernie Williams.
All will be forgotten if they win tonight. I believe they will even though the Red SOx were favored to win this series form the beginning. I know one day they will beat the Yankees in a playoff series for the first time since 1918, but I don't want it to be in my lifetime and for sure not tonight.
I just couldn't stand the Yankees being put in the same sentence with the Baltimore Orioles would held a 3-1 game lead in 1979 over Pops Stargell and Dave Parker's Pittsburgh Pirates only to succumb to defeat in the World Series. This is huge baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is huge baby!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey...someone to talk about baseball!!! Well...yeah, the big guys are in a batting gap right now. Yesterday, Jeter seemed to explode again. And Bernie has been there...alone...Shefield, Rodriguez, Matsui and Sierra seem to be sleeping. They're not helping at all!!! And what makes me even more angry is that the first three games they were just superior..... You know..about tony clark...today I was talking to a friend about him. He's a good player, and his defense stands for him. The batting has just been as bad as the rest of the other players. But he can hit a home-run from time to time....Yesterday I was sooooooo furious!!! I still am...but Sierra needs to sit down!! Lofton needs a chance...a good chance. He might be the key player right now to help the guys that are still going (Jeter, Bernie and Cairo)...I hope we don't become tonight the first team to lose a series, after winning the first three games!!God...give my guys the usual magic power of the striped uniform!!! Yankees rules!!!!!

I adore baseball, and my favorite types of games are close ones, seesaw games where the lead keeps changing. I really don't like a blowout and there has been only one. I knew if Boston woke up in time that this would be a great series and it has been. The Astros/Cardinals series is also intense. I honestly feel that the 4 best teams got to the LCS. I don't understand why Lofton is not playing...Torre obviously needs to shake things up a little and I think that playing Lofton certainly could not hurt at this point. Tony Clark should have gotten the starting job when Giambi went out, IMO. He does a great job at first, and he hits well enough. I think he was really hot during the series against Boston in July, but he cooled off considerably after the Yanks got John Olerud. As a Yankees fan you should be shocked and amazed that they have lasted this long without better pitching. I was certain that they would circle the drain this year after losing Wells, Pettitte and Clemens, but their luck has held and enough things have gone their way that they still look like the Yankees.

As much as I love the line-up the Yankees put on the field at the beginning of the season, those who know me know I said pitching would be their demise. I was right.......I also know as baseball people know that good pitching stops good hitting almost every time. Tonight is no exception.........The Red Sox had Lowe, Martinez and Wakefield if needed and the Yankes had what?.......Brown, Vasquez and Loiaza......no contest...Red Sox win that hands down!!!!!!!!!

I'll disagree with some of your points (but it's easy for me, since now I know the Red Sox have won) The ALCS was not intense. It was, at the end, a series of games always tied. Why? (in my opinion) there's just one reason: Yankees just went downhill...the series began dominated by NY in every possible way. But then, since game 4, they just did nothing. In anyway, they were not tha same team we saw untill October 13th. And then Boston took advantage of them. Game 7 is the onlyone you could say they (R-Sox) actually hit that baseball. The past 3 games they were just lucky enough...But I think I'll "blame" (that's not even possible) one guy: A-Rod...he had the chance in his hands. Cairo (I think it was at game 5) doubled with no outs. Then Jeter (as expected) sacrified with a bunt (my english here is bluring)...and he had to do a simple thing (for him, since he's the one with 18 million $ in his pockets and he's an incredible hitter) hit a flyout to the outfield....but he didn't....NY didn't score...and three days later Boston is the AL Champion....well... as you may see I'm a lil dissapointed...but..thta's baseball...I'll go, now, against the Red Sox n the WS (as I've always have)... Bt hey...lofton did what he had to do...He was the guy...and who ended the game??...Sierra, with the poorest groudball I've ever seen...PLEASE!!!! Torre...You may get fired...

As well as Tony Clark (sorry...just not a fan of him)...and, as said before, Torre may wanna have a good argument on the Lofton thing...George is not gonna be happy at all...

Not worried about the offense.........I'm worried about the pitching. They need a stud pitcher and they need a lefthanded starter................Eric Milton? Here it seems they want to blame it on A-Rod which doesn't make sense. but I understand the he make s trhe most money it's his fault thing. Hey even the unflappable Riveria blew three games.........so you know they need pitching first and pitching last.............Tony Clark is gone if Olerod want to play again next year but Giambi if he is healthy will be on fiorst base. Carlos Beltran will be in center with Bernie full time DH..............Lofton is gone.

The ALCS was not intense. It was, at the end, a series of games always tied. For me, this is what makes a game intense...changing the leads, never knowing who will win...that's good stuff right there. The Yankees have been much less dominant this year, and the reason is pitching. Before the season even started I stated that I thought the Yankees would circle the drain...I never thought they would win as much as they have without the great pitching that they have had for years. They actually made it to the postseason with one reliable pitcher, while in the years past they usually had 3 really good starters and a great bullpen. What happened to the Yankees was in NO WAY the fault of ARod or Jeter, it is the responsibility of whoever in the front office decided that the team needed more offense and less pitching. :bonk I am a life-long fan of the Baltimore Orioles, who dominated in the 1970s without much offense because they had great pitching. They have been nothing without pitching, and the most dominant offensive team (Cardinals) can't do much without strong pitching.

But the offense was terrible too!! they all went into a gap together... About blaming A-Rod...it's not just to do that...but he had a great opportunity...Actually Jeter, I think, did his work sometimes (so I wouldn't "blame" him either)... ...the front office needs to find good pitching...now...Gordon is a good closer...he did a good...but was not effective enough in the end... Go National League Winner!
