I think i will have to go with the tempts. you can clearly match them member for member. but the originals are simply magnetic. thier voices just drive the mind crazy. I love them.

I'm gonna go with the Tempts ............... I didn't even listen to the other version, but I would have said that anyway so there's really no point in me listenting. :-)

Didn't expect to get a Originals vote. It's worth a listen tho. They sound a little like the Tempts from the Meet The Tempts album, def. when they sing "When I cry." I like both versions for diffrent reasons. ;D

The Originals all the way, purely soulful. Plus the Tempts are only singing background how can anyone choose their version???

The Originals, on the other hand, are not bad either. I would vote for a tie ...Then again, if I had to spend my last money for one of the two records, I would most likely get the Temps version.  |

Don't be afraid to listen to other groups...who knows they may end up singing with Otis. This way you will have a "heads-up" on their talents. ;D |

I definitely agree with Mike. The Originals version is absolutely marvelous -- and one can only make a fair decision, if both versions have been compared. I think that the Originals' are somewhat at a disadvantage because of the poorer quality of the recording.
